Customer Questions & Answers

Has anyone figured out any tricks to disengage the poles after they have been put together?

The poles fit very snugly and firmly together with the ferule that keeps them from slipping. However, I am having a difficult time getting the 3 poles back apart. They are so snug after sawing some limbs that they will not disengage from each other (even after disengaging the ferule that locks them together. Any suggestions?

When you assembly the pole, see if you can slide it in by hand untill the side hole on female end match the male end, and the spring loaded side pin is engaged into both side holes. Then, try to take it out again before doing any cutting. If that cannot be done easily, then it is probably too tight. Try to spray some WD-40 before putting it together.

Can I just get the saw?

I bought the pruning cutter with the (3) 6 Ft extensions. I thought I was getting the saw with it...for the price it should have been included. I don't want to by more extensions.

Are additional Jameson pole sections available for purchase separately?

Asked by: Kerry
Not as I know. But I feel that 18ft is the max length I can still maneuver this saw.

I used this pole saw to cut large (3-8" diameter) branches from several oak trees on my property. It did an excellent job, cutting through them like a hot knife through butter and it was easy to assemble and use. It is also worth noting that the saw blade can be attached in 3 different positions to give you a better cutting angle if needed. The only negative aspect, as others have mentioned, is that the poles fit very snugly together and tend to stick and can be difficult to separate after use - especially for one person to do by themselves. Regardless, I am very pleased with this saw and would recommend it to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Pole Saw Previously I had a telescoping pole saw which was problematic. This saw has great reach when you use all three lengths put together however it's a little wobbly at that length (all saws would be at 18 feet). It's nice because you can just use 2 lengths (12 feet) when you don't need the extra reach. This saw cut palm fronds like it's going thru butter, I might not want to use it so much on hard woods though. I was thinking of buying another one so I could extend it's reach even more! One hint on this saw: spray a little WD-40 on the connecting tubes so they come apart more easily. Highly recommended product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME PRODUCT - Rarely would I go to the trouble to review a saw Hard to believe I am this elated about a pole saw that I would go to the trouble to login and write a review. It truely is an amazing product. It is razor sharp and cuts through both palm and hardwood like butter. The 18' pole length has let me get to branches that have been out of reach for years. The garbage men are cursing me for the amount of trimmings I have hauled to the curb. Excellent, well made, sturdy product...far surpases the old 14ft telescoping pole saw I bought in store. Also the blade is replaceable and it does come with one....both seemed to be ambiguous with the online descriptions.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked as well as how well it is built. I had a little trouble with the locking pins when putting it together due to problems with my hands, not the saw per say. It would have been nice to have a cover for the blade when not in use. I made one out of an old hose to protect it (and me) when not in use.

I feel like 18 ft is the max length. And as you cut, the tree limb will also swing, the movement of the tree limb will transmit to the pole. The pole that is too long is less rigid and will swing even more . Too long pole is also difficult to position. This product is priced right and get my job done.

A few strokes can cut down smaller branch high up. When fully extended, it does need more efforts and skills to accomplish the job. Don't force it and trust the saw blade. I did not have any troubles putting them together as well we taking them apart. A different experience from some reviewers.

I’m more than satisfied with this product. The metal connectors are a bit difficult to attach when putting the pole sections together, but in doing it a couple of times it gets easier and when assembled.
