Customer Questions & Answers

We have this stone in our shower. I use marble cleaners, but it doesn't help with mold and you're not suppose to use bleach. Help!

Asked by: McNeil
1/2 Cup of hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes, scrub if you have to get the mold off and rinse really well. Then use a towel to completely dry all of the marble. Going forward make sure you dry your marble after every shower (squeege and towel) and turn on the exhaust fan for at least an hour (possibly longer depending on the humidity in your bathroom). If you have a door on the shower leave it open so the steam etc. can dissipate.

Carrara 3 in. x 6 in. x 8 mm Honed Marble Wall Tile (8-Pack) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty but not cut square While determining the spacing for our backsplash we soon realized that a lot of these tiles are not cut square. Out of 3 boxes I measured, over a third were off by 2-5mm. This made using the spacers a challenge to keep everything consistent and level. In the end, everything looks great, they were easy to cut with a tile saw but a headache to start. If you want the look of marble, it's a great product but be weary of that they aren't all 90 degree corners like ceramic tiles.

Everything was perfect and they look incredible up with the gray grout I used. I wish there was a picture section to show everyone. I'll be ordering more, probably today, for another project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and value Purchased these tiles for a recent bathroom remodel and they turned out beautifully. There were only a few pieces with brown veining that I couldn't use but my Home Depot store accepted these as returns with no hassle. The tiles are sold in a wrapped bundle of 8; but If you're ordering large quantities, it's good to know that each case comes with 10 bundles. This could be helpful if you're trying to get tiles from the same lot with similar coloring. Smaller quantities that I ordered were not shrink-wrapped and had more color variations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Timeless classic Really wanted to use a Carrara marble for my bathroom floor to match the grey color scheme i was going for. I laid the tile in a herringbone pattern which was not as difficult as everyone says it is. As long as you get the first couple of rows perfect you are golden. I snapped a line down for the the center so i wouldn't get off track which is easy to to since i went up one side of the room back down to the door. I am an average to above average DIY'er and this was my second time doing a floor tile but not in this pattern and size of tile. I did make one mistake and i used sanded grout which made small surface scratched on the entire floor. (i will be re-honing the floor) You can't see them with the average eye but if you look close they are there! So beware of that. Another thing i would like to share is the color variances. I ordered 25% more tile than i need and i was so happy i did. I didn't care for the pieces that had brown veining or that were stark white. The really colorful greys were few and far between. I opened all the boxes and hand picked the tiles i wanted to use. I returned the rest with no issue from home depot. Keep the boxes so you have them to pack the unused tile in. I also only had about 3 square feet of broken tiles out of 88 square feet ordered. Not bad for being shipped for free to my house, 9 boxes it was a huge mess especially when you 18 month old want to play inn the popcorn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best price around looked for the best source for this specific tile and this was a great price, pretty color variations, simple to cut and install and excellent quality

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tiles are not all EXACTLY the same size The hardest part about installing these tiles is that each tile is NOT EXACTLY the same size. This makes putting them in a row and making the lines straight more difficult. Also these tiles are not sealed and needs sealing afterwards.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brown and "Made in China" Tile When buying "Carrara" you expect Italian or at least an attempt to look like Italian marble. In my opinion and because it states "Made in China" this is not Italian marble. It has brown veining instead of grey like you would expect from Carrara Bianco - of course saying that, this is not really Carrara Bianco. I only bought a square foot as a sample before placing a larger order, but have attached pictures. There is a big shade variation between the tiles as well as the obvious brown veining. The positive's if you are looking for a beige marble tile with brown veining - this is a nice tile. It is real marble as well.
