Is there a special saw or saw blade for cutting this tile?

Is there a special saw or saw blade for cutting this tile?
Asked by: Gore
yes, You must use a wet saw. You can use a dry diamond cutter for inside cuts but you must water it down to cool the glass. the heat from a dry blade will shatter the glass

That being said the final result was amazing. The only difficultly is working with glass over ceramic. More intricate cuts can be difficult, there tends to be much more waste. We used the correct blade on the tile saw, but there was still a bit of shattering on smaller pieces.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from extremely poor quality every tile held against the light had an imperfection which would have been visible in the overall installation. We went to Home Depot and had a matching paint mixed so that the tiles could be fixed before install. I might have expected a failure rate of 10% but to have almost 100% of the tiles with some fault was really unbeleivable. we managed to catch most of the failures and the overall installation turned out fine after we painted out the imperfections. Thank goodness my tile installer had the foresight to notice this problem otherwise we could have had a real mess on our hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Great Many of the tiles were scratched on the back which would show through at installation. So there was a fair amount of waste. But finished look is gorgeous. Finishing touch for my new kitchen.

Need to be very very careful or the paint on the back comes off and it is very noticeable. For the price I expected better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality control needs more focus many of the tiles had inconsistent spray -bubbles, had to return a few so many unusable tiles luckily my herringbone pattern allowed me to cut and discard glass is a little more difficult to cut than ceramic/porcelain but I found these EXTREMELY difficult - chipping, breaking etc. even after I installed NEW saw blades (I even tried the score and snap method of cutting and nothing worked!!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price compared to dedicated tile shops Same the first 2 reviews. The painted backing is not always complete or there are scratches and pin-holes. If you look at the front of the tile you can see through some of the spots. Which you would likely then see the white mastic on the wall. I used Mocha Latte colored Behr interior paint and touched up the spots with missing paint or scratches. After it dried you could not tell the difference and was able to use all of my tiles. I suppose that's why this is $10/sq ft versus $25/sq ft at The Tile Shop. Overall, easy to use and looks really nice when touched up and completed.
