Customer Questions & Answers

Asked by: CAR0
The sheet is a mixture of clear glass (white and green), frosted glass (white and green) and real marble (from light tan to dark gray depending upon the sheet). That is why it is called a mosaic.

How many of these come in a box?

I'm trying to figure out how much to buy. I need about 60 sq feet worth. So is this individually priced? or by the box? So in the order number do I say 6 (10/box) or 60 (because it's individualized)?
Asked by: Laura
The sheets are sold individually, so you can buy as many as you want. It will be hard to find 60 (or more for damaged and misshapen tile pieces) in the same dye lot, but I found no major difference between dye lots when I bought my 39 tiles from 2 different Home Depots. I checked online for inventory before I drove 1.5 hours to get them.

name the tile colors

I purchased one of these as a sample, but I want to use it as an accent tile for a shower surround. I would like to use a matching glass subway tile for the remainder of the wall, but I don't know the names or colors in the mosaic. Which white is the white tile, and what is the color sage green color called?
Asked by: Snow
Hello Snow, Lamport Mosaic is made up of unnamed colors. One of the beauties of Lamport Mosaic is that it pairs nicely with multiple field tiles. I suggest you pair with Super white 4x12 glass, Crema 3x6 Marble, Carrara Marble 3x6 all these are available on or your local Home Depot. Thank you,

how hard is this to install and what kind of tools will i need

Asked by: carol
Hello, Lamport Mosaic is for DIYers. You will need a wet saw with a diamond blade(approved for glass) to cut the glass. Home Depot offers tile installation clinics, those are very informative. Thank you, Raul

Lamport 12 in. x 12 in. x 8 mm Stone Marble Mosaic Wall Tile is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 23.

I bought the tile to go with my new Cambria Darlington countertops in the kitchen, along with medium maple cabinets. I needed a white scheme (not tan scheme) tile to match the white walls. This was the closest I could find. I attach some photos of the finished result. The green color is less green in person, compared to the photos. For ordering purposes, I needed 24 tiles for the project and bought 39 of them. I used 35 tiles because the marble was inconsistent, with some very light tan (my preference) and others very dark gray or with the typical marble lines (which I did not want). So several of the sheets of tile were used as donors. Realize you might have the same problem and thus order way more sheets than you think you need. In addition, many of the tile pieces were damaged (chipped, etc) or misshapen and needed to be replaced in the sheet. A warning to those not used to glass tiles. I attach another photo (super close up) where you can see the reflection of the backing through the clear tiles. Look at the white colored tiles near the center of the photo and see the intermittent black line as you look diagonally down on the installed tile. This happens often with glass tiles, so if you want a cleaner look, you may consider non-clear glass (such as a frosted glass that is also in this tile sheet) or regular rock tile. I hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this tile! This is beautiful, neutral tile, however, it is a little more sage green in reality than it looks online. I purchased this tile at my local Home Depot store, so knew the color was what I wanted. This was my first try at DIY tile installation and I didn't have any problems. It was easy to trim with tile nippers so I didn't have to get a tile saw to cut pieces for around outlets. I posted this picture on Facebook and have received many compliments about my beautiful new kitchen backsplash. I used Bright White grout. Because of the tile shapes and the way the edges are not flush, I did need to buy three more packages than I originally measured for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful tile This is a wonderful neutral tile. The stone and glass textures are interesting and the glass is nicely reflective and neutral enough that it picks up on other colors in the room. We used with Uba tuba granite countertops and it looks amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful neutral tile this tile is stunning. the pix does not do it justice at all. it looks tan in the pix but it is really a soft looking neutral . i took it to a local tile store to find grout, and they commented on how beautiful it is. they said the polished marble is "botticelli" and very expensive. the sales person said it would be beautiful in her home and asked me where i bought it. when i told her, she said "really, i need to go look at this for my home". the glass tiles are white and alabaster/off white and both of these are in polished and matte finishes. the botticelli marble is similar in color to light travertine. this gives the tile a lot of texture to look at w/o being over the top in texture due to the different surfaces. it is a very neutral tile. the alabaster/off white tile picks up a slight green tinge on our wall as it is picking up reflecting light from our granite countertop, which is (green) verde butterfly. we chose alabaster grout to continue to keep this neutral look. it is modern looking due to the glass but also classic w/ the botticelli marble. looks awesome w/ our light cherry shaker cabinets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Just put it up this weekend! It looks great. Our only problem was that we used a hand held tile cutter instead of a machine and it was slightly difficult to cut the glass tiles straight, the stone ones were much easier. Also, when grouting, the stone really soaked up the moisture and we're having some problems with a film. We bought a cleaner for the tiles and that seems to be working, we just hadn't anticipated the extra work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful tile in person This tile is beautiful in person but does not look like the photograph as others have stated. We used this as a backsplash for our laundry room and it really came out well. We had some issues in the store finding sheets without any broken tiles and the beige stone tiles had some variation that turned to more of a gray (see photo in between vent and outlet). We were overall very happy with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Work With Great Accent for Bathroom This tile was the perfect accent for our bathroom remodel. It made our shower really stand out. The ceramic mixed in with the glass keeps it from being too modern or flashy. It's just the right amount of bling for the overall tranquil look we were going for.
