Answer:
Just use one and only at the time of planting...otherwise you will end up with lots of leaves and few tomatoes.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A must have for great tomatoes! We never plant tomatoes without using these fertilizer spikes. Be sure to only use them when you first put your plants in the ground. If you add them after your plant has grown some height then you will get too many leaves and not very many tomatoes. One package will fertilize many plants. Fun to have enough spikes to share with friends and family. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These Are a Great Alternative to Liquid Fertilizer This is the first season that I have used Jobes tomato spikes. I was getting very tired of mixing up fertilizer granules into water and then pouring it around my plants every two weeks. All I had to do with these spikes is just push them into the ground an inch or two below the surface near the tomato plants, then just water as usual. Since I placed them in a raised bed I used about 36 spikes, including the plants in pots. I was surprised at how healthy they became and they produced more tomatoes than I could deal with. I gave sackfuls of tomatoes away to friends and family. I have since purchased several more packages of these to have ready for next year. September 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Even better Jersey tomatoes Job tomato plant fertilizer spikes are the best and easiest way to get my garden going. There's far less yellowing of lower branches, more tomatoes, and overall healthier and larger plants when I use this product. July 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't find this product in other stores anymore. Other stores used to carry this product. Not anymore. Glad it's still at Home Depot! July 1, 2014
