Is there a top made for this cart?
Asked by: joe
Thank you for contacting the Home Depot website. John Deere unfortunately does not make a top for this cart. The cart does have molded-in slots for DIY bed dividers and side wall extensions.

Look in the manual that came with the cart, it shows an assembly drawing with part numbers. Or call a John Deere dealer.

Many National Chain stores stock replacement wheels. Most Tractor Supply stores are relatively close and would carry replacement wheels for your cart.

1,000 lb. 17 cu. ft. Tow-Behind Poly Utility Cart is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and High Quality I am really enjoying my JD trailer. It was purchased to match my JD tractor and haul children more so than landscaping supplies. My 4 year old son had a JD birthday party and I used this trailer to haul kids around the yard. Boy did they have fun! I also used it to haul my 3 children around my large development Halloween night. The trailer ride kept them from getting tired and cranky. The construction seems very durable and safe. I appreciate the dump feature using a foot pedal. And the poly bin is strong and won't rust. Best part is it's made in USA! Nice trailer, John Deere never lets me down!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vulnerability I have had this cart for a few years and experienced only one problem. While hauling a full load of topsoil up an incline in the yard the stress on the Cart Lock Bar proved too much. The bar bent back opening the slot and dumped the load. After straightening the bar, any steep grade caused the same problem with lighter loads. The solution was to replace the lock bar. However, the malleable metal is stll a vulnerable part of the cart and it is difficult to trust it not to happen again. Therefore, I have compensated by lightening the load and crossing my fingers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sturdy functional cart Relatively simple assembly, though you probably will need a second person to help tighten the bolts just because of the size of the cart and the inability of one person to reach both ends of the bolt for bolts that are in the center of cart. The cart is durable, stable and easy to maneuver when disconnected from the tractor...even when it is partially loaded

Plenty good for another year of camp. Highly recommend this unit if it holds up under these conditions, your homeowner use will be a picnic for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GREAT AND DURABLE CART THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS WITH ASSEMBLY. IT IS SO MUCH EASIER WITH TWO PEOPLE. THE SCREWS AND BOLTS NEEDED TO BE LINED UP AND THE DISTANCE WITH HOLDING BOTH SCREW AND NUT IS TOO GREAT FOR ONE PERSON. OTHER THAN THAT, GREAT CART. GLAD IT IS A NON-METAL BODY TO PREVENT RUSTING.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the ONLY lawn cart worth buying Hi...I have owned several cheap, flimsy, bendable metal lawn carts. I go through them like water, as they usually only last a summer before my make shift welds that hold them together finally break. So...I decided to go with poly in lieu of metal...and ohhhh boy...what a difference!!! There really is no comparison. Poly is the ONLY way to go, and this cart is so dang durable, I've actually tried to break the axle and destroy it and can't. I rolled this cart off of the roof of a new sun room I'm building, and it's just fine. As you can tell, I like to test out my toys. So far...this is the only lawn cart I've ever owned worth purchasing.
