Answer:
I have not found anyone who sells the side rails. I made my own out of wood, 5 years ago, and they work great.

Answer:
I don't know of a source for a side rail, but I would not recommend using wood. If you have the cart, you know that the slots for the side rail are small and by the time you cut a piece of wood down that small you might as well not have a side rail. The first piece of sizeable fire wood that rolled down and hit it would likely break it off. Cutting pieces of metal electrical conduit would probably be the Read More

Answer:
I don't know what the hitch configuration of your mower is or its towing capacity, the cart has a standard pin hitch. It rolls very freely on greased bearings even with a substantial load.

Not any that I am familiar with, although if they had a raised bar behind the part on which you stand, it could be done, but I am not sure how safe it would be.

Answer:
As long as you have a pin hitch for your mower, you can pull this. I have a commercial zero turn that I pull a similar drum core aerator with and I must be careful not to turn too sharp as this could "jackknife" it, damaging it or the mower. Because this cart holds a lot of weight, don't overload it as this could damage the mower.

Look in the manual that came with the cart, it shows an assembly drawing with part numbers. Or call a John Deere dealer.

I bought one for my 54 inch commercial zero-turn on ebay. I believe I have also seen them in the parts listing for John Deere mowers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good cart unlike others who have bought this product as a homeowner, I work at a summer camp so it going to see a lot more use than the average cart. I expect with care it will last a few years. I probably will never dump with it, mostly used to carry trash, water jugs, tools, etc mostly what a side by side carries, except we don't have one. towed by a golf cart. I like the fact that it is poly so no rust. time will tell how it will last. if it lasts 3-4 years which I fully expect a homeowner should get an easy 15-20. will update as time goes by. July 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love trailer Be ready to complete assembly; the only part of assembled that was difficult was the Foot Pedal.... Spent most of the time with this one step June 27, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptionally Difficult to Assemble I like this cart except for a couple issues. First the cart is very difficult to assemble by yourself. The instructions are for 2 different carts and you are left to figure out which is yours. The instructions also are essentially just CAD drawings they printed off with little explanation of how to actually assemble the cart. The primary axle is prone to rust. Once assembled though, the cart works well. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT AND DURABLE CART THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS WITH ASSEMBLY. IT IS SO MUCH EASIER WITH TWO PEOPLE. THE SCREWS AND BOLTS NEEDED TO BE LINED UP AND THE DISTANCE WITH HOLDING BOTH SCREW AND NUT IS TOO GREAT FOR ONE PERSON. OTHER THAN THAT, GREAT CART. GLAD IT IS A NON-METAL BODY TO PREVENT RUSTING. June 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awsome trailer Very easy to build. Comes with template to make divider boards if you want. Looks like it will last for ever. May 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Large pull utility cart Large capacity cart which greatly increases the functionality of my lawn tractor. When it shipped it was missing the closure spring for the foot latch. John Deere's customer service quickly sent out a replacement and I was back up and running in about a week. Disappointing start, but I am glad to be operational. Dumped a heavy load of broken up concrete with it this weekend, and it was no problem. This cart would be difficult to install without a second helper. May 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very useful tool! While it took two people to assemble the cart, the instructions were easy to follow. Using the cart is easy. We hook it to the zero turn mower and transport mulch, dirt, straw or whatever. The dump mechanism works easily, although hand-clearing is still required. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great addition Bought this cart to attach to the back of our John Deere riding lawn mower so that we could transport gardening supplies to the back of our property. It is very sturdy and holds a lot of items. Worth the purchase. July 29, 2014
