CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by These Are a Must Easy enough to install / tighten, though no guarantee on even modestly sloping areas. I would suggest running perpendicular to your slopes when plower, if at all possible. All in al though you can't do the job without the chains. February 16, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chains Overprice and not suitable for application. Complicated attachment method and no instructions. January 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chains wear out quickly The chains tend to slip unless they are spaced evenly on the tire. Inflating the tires did not help much with keeping them in place. I wound up removing the clip and installing a turnbuckle with hooks to hold the chain in place. That said, in 2 seasons, I am finding myself getting new chains since the ones that I have are worn thin and breaking. $75 seems like a lot when it requires tweaking and then replacing in such a short period of time. I am currently researching other options. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Weather has been such that I haven't used them yet, but they are on & waiting to use. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A must have for winter operations and eazy use!! These chains are made specifically for your JD and they are easy to put on. Just drive over the chains laid out flat on the ground. Then open your tire valve and let out some air and let the tire go soft remember SOFT not flat. Hook up the chains and start pumping air back into the tire. You mite have to adjust the chains as you put air back in the tire but fill the tire to recommended spec. TIP to keep your chains lasting take a three lbs. coffee can fill with oil and put chains in can when not in use. April 27, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Incorrect size The tire chains sent, while corresponding to the chains described on the web page, do not correctly fit the tires on a John Deere D110. They are too large and required a return since I was unwilling to cut them to fit. They CAN be forced to fit with some overlap but they are not snug and it is challenging getting the last link securely connected. Given an impending snowstorm and no chains I found a set of the correct size elsewhere locally rather than wait for a re-order to be shipped. Otherwise they are good quality chains. December 27, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Online purchasing info/data on product is confusing. 1/ Nowhere does it say that chains are bought in PAIRS. All is "unit". I overbought and now need to return/get refund for two extra chains I don't need. 2/ Duly filled in info that my tires are 20 inchg tires. a-Product that wa shipped is only 48 " at its longets when fully extended flat on thre foor. b-Longest available of actual tire coverage from one cross chainlink to the other end is 37 inches. c-Circumference of the tire to be covered is a full 63 ". These are NOT the correct chains for this tire. December 11, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by applying the 20 inch snow chains to my cub cadet LT 1050 while the price was affordable these chains come with minimal instructions - i jacked up the rear end to install the chains but they in no way look as symmetrical as in the photo of the chain installed on the JD tractor. The fit up has a large area of no "cross tread" chains on the tires - my neighbor also said their chains also had the same gaps across the tire tread for the chains he bought as well, It was very difficult to join the chain end with the hooked connector - my neighbor's son suggested that the tires be removed and install the chains that way - i liked his recommendation but i was not about to remove the tires to do as recommended due to the super cold temps we're having. Yesterday i went back the HD and bought 6 caribinners and 2 sections of 18" "swing set" chain so I could quality jury rig a much better and hopefully tighter connection to augment the existing connection link. I will say that even with my body weight of 299 lbs - the chains are required to gain traction and push the load of snow with the snow blade I bought as well so that is where the value lies December 24, 2013
