CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 200 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not near as bad as the reviews People you have to maintain and service these things and they are not made to run full blast on hills. Still have a 2004 Troy-Bilt but bought the JD 105. It has 15.2 hours and I have had no problems thus far, cuts well and has the same engine as the Troy -Bilt 17.5 HP but this has an oil filter. The Troy -Bilt still goes and has 3200 hours. Yes it is old and belts and pulleys all needed replaced but this Deere should go on and on with proper maintenance. Will let you know as time goes on July 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too expensive for what you get. 1. Seat uncomfortable 2. Cuts unevenly even though there are leveling wheels on the deck 3. Deck cleaning feature does not work well when cutting damp grass 4. Bagger is exceptionally poor at picking up grass, despite using recommended lift blades. Review based upon mowing 6/10th of an acre, relatively flat terrain. July 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy The John Deere d105 is a garbage I have had to replace the teamsm after one year of us I have bought two starters both went bad it blows fuses it is made of plastic and when I say it's made of plastic I mean everything is plastic from the transmission to the engine my tractor is one year old and I have had all these problems don't buy save your money July 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My D105 looks tough, is tough I have had my 105 two years since June 30th, 2013. Love it. I cut 3 acres of tough green grass about every 10 days. 79 +hours. Problems? No more than any other brand, but a lot less than most. One thing, occasionally have a problem getting into reverse. All I do is sequence the shifting cycle. N-dr-reverse and away I go. Timely servicing goes a long in extending its life. Those who bash, welllll! Also never have I read so many reviews with such poor spelling. June 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far I love it I just got I today. After returning the battery to Lowe's it started! Mowed the back yard and it Is very comfortable and easy to use. July 1, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Don't settle, spend a little more The transmission went out at 26 months 60 hours, 2 months after the warranty expired. June 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Piece of equipment! With just over 5 hours on the machine, I have had zero issues with it. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this mower. I see a lot of people bashing this thing. But one thing that no body seems to consider is that out of the thousands of these machines sold there is bound to be a bad apple in the bunch every now and then. My only complaints on the machine is that the hood hinges are very weak, after a small bump against a fence the hinges snapped. My second complaint is that it should come from the factory with adjustable drag links to adjust the front wheel steering angle. May 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by transmission problems on the first use! Total transmission failure after 3.4 hours of use...total junk! Not the quality you would expect. June 15, 2015
