CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by <50 hrs and already problems Less than 50 hours on the mower and it's developed electrical problems. I have to start it by jumping the battery to the starter. Very disappointed. August 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good little tractor so far Have about a year out of it and 35 hours so far with no problems . For the price this has been a great little tractor, mowed a neighbors large backyard yesterday that had become over grown about 2 feet high. Kept it on highest cut setting and plowed through it no problems , this was the first time I gave it a good challenge and I was impressed by the power . I've pulled large limbs that have fallen or been cut off , and it cuts pretty well too . I do wish there were wheels on all 4 sides , this would help keep the blades from scalping the grass on slopes or when turning sharply . Hydrostatic transmission is awesome and cuts my mowing time down significantly, steering is light and easy. I hope to get at least 300 trouble free hours out of it. July 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most excellent Until this summer season, I have been walking behind mowers for more than 50 years believing tractors were for fields not lawns. I have operated a variety of larger farm equipment manufacturers so comparisons for the lawn tractor was relatively easy - Deere. With a lawn broken into three quarters to include small barriers (fences, trees), the d110 is versatile, maneuvers around objects effortlessly, and is a breeze to operate. July 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This product cuts my lawn lower than I expected I am a new owner to a John Deere lawn tractor. My lawn would look like carpet when it was cut by my 18 year old Murray that died 2 weeks ago. Page 27 of the operator's manual instructs to let the engine run at high throttle for a few seconds then turn off the key. There is no suggestion to cut back on the throttle. The cutting section of the blades is only about 4 inches, no wonder this product fails in the quality of my lawn appearance after it is cut. I love the tight turning radius of this tractor, I get around plants much easier. June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent but... First I buy John Deere, I have had several including a 4400 with a frontend loader, I can't remember the 1st lawn tractor I bought since it was over 20 years ago and when I sold my house I left it for the new owner and it was still going. As for the D110 I wish I could put it on the same level but I just can't. While it does the job and I have not had a single issue in the 4 years I have owned it it is just not the same quality as my previous JD lawn tractor. If you're on a budget I would say you shouldn't have any/many issues with the D110 but there are better out there. April 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Its junk Complete junk.Dont buy one of these if you plan to cut grass. May 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by D110 Mower Despite all the negative comments. I love this mower. I mow an acre on varying terrain. Had it two years and about 42 hours. No problems. No flats, no broken belts. No bad batteries and just keeps running. Keep oil changed, deck clean and blades sharp. I love it. I made the modification to replace front wheel bushings with bearings and now it works better. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Performs well for multiple tasks. Purchased D110 in 2011 and this is my fourth year using the unit. It has 107 hours and I have had no problems. Use for mowing, mulching, snow plowing, and pulling lawn de-thatcher. Very strong on snow plowing. Plows deep snow with no problem. I perform regular maintenance at 25 and 50 hours, although I change the oil every 25 hours instead of every 50 hours as recommended. Engine starts right up every time. Don't care for plastic steering wheel. Not very comfortable. Hood a little cheap. The front axle pivot grease zert is difficult to access. Would like to have a power lift option for snow blade.
