The 44 in. snow blower has the capacity to handle big snow removal jobs. Works well in all snow conditions and is suited for snow removal around recreational parks, industrial parks and other applications where snow must be moved greater distances. Ideal for home and estate owners in heavy snow regions.

  • More effective than single-stage snow blowers when operating in wet, heavy snow and deep snow conditions
  • Low-speed auger sizes crusted material as it moves snow toward the second-stage blower
  • Provides consistent snow placement in variable snow conditions because the high speed blower gives the discharged snow consistent velocity, even in very light clean-up volumes
  • Warranty: 2 years or 120 hours, whichever is first

Rated 4 out of 5 by Works as advertised I am using this with a D120 lawn tractor in CT. Cleared all the 2013-2014 winter snows (hard winter) from 2 large driveways with no difficulty. Best in powder type snow (really throws this snow quite a distance). Better than my old 9HP walk behind in wet snow, but if the snow is too wet you build a "snow dam" in front of the blower and end up pushing snow rather than driving it into the blower. When turning in wet snow I have to lift the blower slightly to get all of the blower's weight on the front wheels, improving front wheel traction. The blower unit is heavy to lift during use, but (I am 175 lbs and nearly 60 years of age) I had no trouble using it on 2 driveways. Very small or light folks may find using this physically demanding. Overall very effective, much faster than a walk behind snowblower, and kind of fun to use. I would definitely buy this again. With hindsight if I had planned on using my tractor to clear snow I might have purchased a bigger tractor, but the D120 does the job:-) With the blower on the tractor the thing needs a lot of floor space. Think about where you are going to park it during the winter, and store it during the summer. September 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Leaving JD after all these years... After having used John Deere products I think it is time to find something else. This snowthrower died within 2 years. The replacement started falling apart within months. The trigger that release the blower so it can be lowered to the ground is cheap plastic. Replacement with another cheap plastic trigger is $30. My L118 tractor is 4 years old and started rusting out the second year whereas my previous tractor lasted 25 years and had less rust. I am very disappointed in the significant drop in John Deere's quality standards. The dual stage thrower and the adjustable deflector work well. February 12, 2014
