This uses two slightly curved vials because you get a little better accuracy with this type. If you completely flip the level over, you'll notice the other vial will now be used to get your reading. Read Less

48 in. Eco-Tech Bamboo Level is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wanted the solid mahogany level listed on the website. I learned from calling Johnson's office,... I wanted the solid mahogany level listed on the website. I learned from calling Johnson's office, they stopped making them TWO years ago. I settled for the bamboo model, then noted at home, the metal corners are not firmly connected to the bamboo; they are loose and rattle when tapping on them. Now I'm going back for replacement or refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bamboo level So far it's been a great level for the money. The bubles are tight and accurate. Used it many times already with no complaints. I would buy it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My towel bar is crooked.... After a couple days of using my towel bar, it seemed slightly off to me. Long story short, I found that this level was not straight, it was bowed! When I put the level on my counter top, the bubble showed as level; however there was daylight showing between the counter top and the level near the middle. When I was marking my level line for the towel bar, I didn't need all 48" of the level, so I used one end and then ended up somewhere in the middle of the level. I was only looking for the bubble to mark my line... Everything else about the level seemed fine, however if you are purchasing a level, you probably will only care about it being level, plumb, and STRAIGHT! If not, well then you'll probably not notice your crooked towel bar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad level The level isn't flat so it is hard to get an accurate read.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from As other said Not worth it in the long run. Got it as a birthday gift last year being I needed one at the time. Surprise, nice & thoughtful even though I was skeptical about it but it worked then. As I go to use it earlier today I can see that the frame work isnt level. So using another higher quality Starrett level, sure enough way off. Has to be the bubble jammies off. Held them side by side vertically level. Also has a slight bend to it so its good for a door holder now. Bamboo is really being pushed. Understand bamboo only worked well for Gilligans island, lol. Levels need to be precise and made with quality materials. You get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Accurate level I picked this up about 3 months ago for some remodeling projects I have going on and so far I am very pleased. The level has 3 ports with 2 vials each that are crystal clear. The vials are all slightly curved inward so only one will work at a time if laid horizontally or 2 at a time when positioned vertically. These vials are curved by design and not a defect. The level is stout and from the moment you pick it up you can tell it is a quality product. I have no doubt this level will last a while. When comparing to some of my other aluminum levels I noticed right away how the curved vials keep the bubble from jumping back and forth. Aside from being accurate and working great so far, I found this level to be aesthetically pleasing as well. Its beautiful! I plan on picking up another one along with the 24" version as I find myself always needing an extra level.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Level This level wasn't. I placed it on a table and carefully leveled it exactly, then I checked it for accuracy against three separate levels I already owned. All three previously purchased levels had consistent readings, but non agreed with this level. I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from reminder of old times this level brings me back to a time where you kept your best level put away and brought it out for your use only. this level is heavy and accurate. it reminds me of past Carpenter's who taught me that no one will second guess your answer when you go out of your way to get your level, not just any level on the jobsite to level a wall or soffit. I have purchased a plastic case for it and it remains behind the seat of my truck, not on the jobsite or trailer. I would recommend this level to any professional carpenter, or to anyone who takes pride in their work.
