BRING BACK JORGENSEN !!! Why did Home Depot stop carrying Jorgensen clamps? They have brought in a line of Bessey clamps that are not, ( in my opinion ) , as good as the jorgensen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I bought a couple of the light duty 12" just to test Jorgensen's product line. Pleased, I decided to buy 2 of the heavy duty 24" clamps. I was so impressed, and they functioned so well, that I went out and bought 4 more! These things get the job done - and how. I plan on buying more of these --- once the budget allows for such a move. I am a hobbyist woodworker and do various home projects and they serve me well. Go grab a few of these bad boys. And then go grab some more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from favorite clamp The best part of this clam may be the handle, the next best thing is the release. Old hands will appreciate the comfort grip. A couple of turns and the quick release backs off the clamp from the work piece. The pads also work well and stay in place. I have looked elsewhere and found that HD had the best price. I have different clamps in the workshop but I always go to these first. 5 star clamps all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shop essential This line of clamps function well; they can give you a lot more compression that trigger style clamps. They are obviously designed with the woodworker in mind. The business ends are covered in plastic caps that prevent them from marring stock.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke within second use I was excited to use these clamps as they seemed to be so much more substantial than the plastic clamps that I have been using for the past few years now, so you can imagine my surprise when, while tightening the clamp on a recent woodworking project, the top broke cleanly in half. I'll be attempting to exchange it later, but so far my impressions are that this tool stretches the definition of "Heavy-Duty". Too bad, because the design otherwise is quite nice. As for me, I'm not going back to try this again. I'll move on to pipe clamps and try my luck there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good clamp I se these when making bent laminations for chair components. They are excellent to put pressure on multiple layers of walnut or mahogany laminating strips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Darn good clamp I have several of the Jorgensen HD clamps, and some of the other competitors HD clamps.(Craftsman) By far the Jorgensen clamps are more solid, with no bar deflection when tightened. The competitors do deflect a little when tightened. Does that effect the clamping? No, but it tells me that Jorgensen is made a little more ruggedly. And, I believe Jorgensen is made in the U.S.A. I do try to buy U.S.A. products when I can. Another thing I like, is the Jorgensen clamps open to the full dimension with the pads on, while some of my other clamps open to the full dimension, only IF I take off the plastic pads that protect the wood from the clamp. Jorgensen HD clamps are of excellent quality, IMHO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Woodworking Clamp I have been building "Heirloom Quality" Custom Woodwork for 30+ years, as anyone who works with wood knows you can never have enough clamps- this clamp is by far the best, strongest and very cost effective for the quality . I own many clamps (100+) and I own 20 of these and some more costly . This is by far the type I use the most when putting a chair, table or cabinet together. Use caution when tightening as the plastic handle can slip (the older Maple handles didn't do this)- if you do a lot of furniture assembly, this is one clamp you can depend on.
