Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Broke within second use I was excited to use these clamps as they seemed to be so much more substantial than the plastic clamps that I have been using for the past few years now, so you can imagine my surprise when, while tightening the clamp on a recent woodworking project, the top broke cleanly in half. I'll be attempting to exchange it later, but so far my impressions are that this tool stretches the definition of "Heavy-Duty". Too bad, because the design otherwise is quite nice. As for me, I'm not going back to try this again. I'll move on to pipe clamps and try my luck there. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Woodworking Clamp I have been building "Heirloom Quality" Custom Woodwork for 30+ years, as anyone who works with wood knows you can never have enough clamps- this clamp is by far the best, strongest and very cost effective for the quality . I own many clamps (100+) and I own 20 of these and some more costly . This is by far the type I use the most when putting a chair, table or cabinet together. Use caution when tightening as the plastic handle can slip (the older Maple handles didn't do this)- if you do a lot of furniture assembly, this is one clamp you can depend on. March 3, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by favorite clamp The best part of this clam may be the handle, the next best thing is the release. Old hands will appreciate the comfort grip. A couple of turns and the quick release backs off the clamp from the work piece. The pads also work well and stay in place. I have looked elsewhere and found that HD had the best price. I have different clamps in the workshop but I always go to these first. 5 star clamps all around. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good clamp, glad to see them at the Homedepot. The clamps worked and the project moved along without problems. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Clamps at a Great Price. I'm a professional woodworker and have used all sorts of clamps from Harbor Freights cheap but guaranteed clamps to Bessy's, Irwin. Thank god Home Depot stopped carrying Irwin because they were total garbage especially the squeeze clamps. These Jorgensen Clamps are great because they are hearty, great gripping ability for a real hard crank down and the pads don't come flying off like the Bessy's after a couple uses. The Jorgensen's pad has a step the pad clips over which if pressured will come off but then slip it back on and it sort of clicks back in place. Seems like common sense to me. Great clamp and get the thicker one if you do anything substantial. Nice going Jorgensen!!! And Home Depot for getting rid of Irwin and picking up Jorgensen.
