These lights are only 80 CRI which translates to a rather large variable. These lights are only 80 CRI which translates to a rather large variable. For the non initiated, the Color Rendering Index refers to the accuracy of the light with respect to its stated color temperature. That means that a light that is rated at 3000 Kelvin will have a possible 20% variable on that temperature. For reference, Kelvin is a temperature scale just like Fahrenheit or Celsius, but in this instance refers to color. An example: The element iron heated to 3200 degrees Kelvin (which is molten) is the same color white, as incandescent lights. 5600 degrees is the same color white as daylight. In this case, "warmer" means a lower temperature, and cooler is a higher temperature. Read Less

Answer:
Hello, the color temperature as measured in Kelvins (K) is the color of light so the marketing descriptions may vary from item to item. 3000K is more of a neutral white light that is typical for most under cabinet fixtures. 2700K would be a warmer white light and 4000K would be a cooler white light. Thanks!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quality lighting We hard-wired two of these under our kitchen cabinets, and wired a third with the optional plug to plug into a duplex in the cabinet. We don't have trim on the fronts of the cabinets, so the housing itself had to be attractive because it shows. The brushed silver blends nicely with other such items in the kitchen, including the gray wall tile. I rated the appearance as only "good" because of the black ends. Very well-made. I think they had better be, at these prices, and considering the fact that bulbs can't be replaced. There is a very slight color difference in the light between two of the fixtures, but we don't notice it now. One is a touch "greener" than the other one, but not objectionable. My husband installed them, and I didn't notice any of the sounds of frustration that sometimes accompany projects like this. July 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great lights for dark cabinets Electrician said these were the easiest lights to install. Will recommend this brand to all clients. Was installed as a Direct Wire March 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attractive, bright and easy to install I replaced an existing but troublesome fluorescent fixture that was too short for the space and burned out frequently. This wide and attractive LED light came well-packaged with two sets of wiring connectors. I chose the easiest option (push-in connectors that were already wired in). Color-coding of the wiring is correct (black, white and green). It also has two wiring clamp brackets, depending on whether your home has romex wire or shielded cable. I did have to use a rasp on both the wood cabinet frame and the edge of the tile to fit the clamp into the wall, but this rough work was concealed by the depth of the light box. Very nice finish and appearance. Very bright, too. Excellent above-the-sink lighting. July 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best under cabinet LED lighting I have purchased 6 of these Juno Pro-Series LED lights over the past 2 years, and they have been outstanding. Light quality is excellent (about 3000 K), it's not too blue or too yellow but just right. They are very reliable and easy to install. I had them installed in pairs using the provided connector, and then wired to a wall switch. Absolutely perfect and highly recommended. November 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than the old fluorescent! I replaced 4 old fluorescent fixtures with 4 Juno LED fixtures. The light is brighter, without any "vibration" and it's more natural. The tile back splash is a pale, pale green. It was washed out with the original lights. Now the color shows. And the installation was a snap! February 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Completely satisfied Easy installation. All parts needed for replacing the existing fluorescent were included. The light is dimmable. I put a small band of tape around the drill bit to use as depth gauge so I didn't drill through the mounting board. Turn off the circuit breaker before wiring and then check to make sure all wires in the box are without voltage. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very nice light This light is bright and the glass lens helps diffuse the white light. Very modern looking. January 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, looks great and works great, but a little pricey The bronze finish looks great with the cherry wood in my kitchen. I installed an LED-compatible dimmer, and that is a great addition to the overall usage. The fixture is expensive, but I suppose you get what you pay for. I could not find another fixture I wanted that looked as nice. For the price, there could have been an alternate method for installing, and he spot for the power inlet could have been bigger, or had an alternate spot - it is in the middle of the fixture only, All the extra HW like the BX clamp was included, a good idea. I needed no extra HW to install this fixture, except for the dimmer I wanted. September 5, 2013
