I thought I had to hardwire my Juno under cabinet light and then I came across this cord and plug. It fits in an end socket of the light fixture. The cord is long enough so that you could run it into a cabinet and use the same outlet that your microwave is using ...hidden in a cabinet. If you're using a nearby outlet, you'll have lots of cord to tie up and hide.
If I was hard wiring the fixture there are a couple of faces on the light fixture that I could tap into allowing me
to determine the best direction to run the cord. With this plug and cord, you have to work off the ends. So if your under cabinet space isn't wide enough to accommodate the plug extending off the end of the fixture, you'll have to get the next smaller fixture. If there was an option to plug into the back edge of the fixture, this wouldn't be an issue. This is probably more of an issue if you're installing just one light fixture. If you're installing multiple, then having the socket on the end is good. You would just drill holes between the cabinets to draw the cord through and it would be in the best location. The under cabinet space I have is tight and I haven't decided if I want to add more lights in series.

Love the flexibility of hard or soft wiring the light to the power source. Since we had an existing outlet already in place, this made installation super easy. Just plug & go. Would definitely recommend this item!
