Answer:
Did considerable research on internet. Consensus being that an Orchid specialty fertilizer is recommended. Also, most sources advise against watering with ice cubes.

Answer:
A 20/20/20 mix, noted on the fertilizer (or just buy one specifically for orchids).
Flush out fertilizer with clear water ever few weeks. I use room temperature water, you don't want to shock the plant.
Better to under fertilize often instead of too much, limp dark leaves=too much fertilizer.
I fertilize weekly, going lightly on the fertilizer.

DON'T cut the stem after the flowers have fallen off. Only cut the stem if it is dead. The flowers WILL reappear in the spots where they have fallen from!!!

Answer:
Cut back the dead stem and keep the pot in the same location. Keep adding the three cubes per week and it will bloom again in less than a year. You can also add orchid water soluble food but read directions as to when to fertilize. Hope this helps

It's a phalaenopsis, the main type of orchid that grocery stores, big box stores, etc, carry. Easy and prolific, and great for beginners.

Answer:
These are ‘low’ light orchids. They grow beautifully in an east window and can be grown in a south or west window if protected by blinds or a sheer curtain. A phal’s leaves should be a green, almost olive color. If they become dark, they need MORE light. These are forgiving and patient orchids. Good luck.

5 in. Orchid in Ceramic Deco Pot is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a pretty flower and a great deal At first I was worried about buying flowers on line. But when this came my worries were unfounded. These Orchids came and were in great shape and have since thrived. Their care is simple and they make a great addition and splash of color to any home. While the picture is of a purple Orchid, the 2 that came with my order were WHITE and GREEN. This was not as expected but not a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PRETTY MINES ARRIVED WITH SOME BLOOMED ALREADY BUT NOT ALL. MINES MORE OF WHITE AND PURPLE THEN THE PRETTY PURPLISH PINK IN THE PICTURE. I WISH I WOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT IT FROM MY LOCAL STORE BECAUSE THEY LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE PICTURE. HOPEFULLY ITLL BE JUST AS GORGEOUS WHEN THE REST BLOOMS. PACKAGE WELL AND ARRIVED ON TIME.
