Very easy to assemble if you follow instructions, I used this kennel as part of a chicken tractor, so therefor I added a roof made of chicken wire and beefed up the sides with horizontal rails mid way between top and bottom,I used self tapping 3/4 screws where each piece come together, I added retractable wheels on one end so it can easly be moved aroung the yard.

I bought this kennel to attach to my 50 ft x 60 ft chain link fenced play area for my 7 dogs. Prior to using the kennel, we had a few escapes while trying to put them all in the play area as well as when we were bringing them back into the house. I left the fencing off one side of the kennel and attached it to the play area fence surrounding the gate. That way if a dog runs out while we are opening the gate, they are still contained in the kennel and we can leash them safely. It has worked beautifully. The dogs and humans are much calmer. The kennel was easy to put together with 2 adults and my teen daughter. It took us about 2 hours, even with adjusting the fencing to leave one side open. I am very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mary Perfect for what we needed!
We have an auto body repair shop that we take our dogs to and from with us each day. (60 lb boxer and an 80 lb american bulldog) They had destroyed the break room and almost killed themselves chewing the AC power cord. We assembled this kennel and placed it inside the workshop and it is perfect! It took 3 of us about an hour and a half to set it up and feel really good about it. (Probably would have been fine, but we added some extra anchors to the frame with wire coat hangers for a little more peace of mind... the boys are pretty good at figuring out any weak spots.) The frame connections are a little loose until you get the chain link stretched around it... We just put a little tape around the joints to hold it for a few minutes.
We have our break room back and the bulldog doesn't have to live in his taxi all the time so that he can't get to the drywall.
The kennel rocks!

I bought this as I was pricing out building my own 6x10 kennel. Cost was near the same if not a little cheaper and I figured that made the precut, pre-engineered one a better deal. Once I got it home and started getting it together, I realized that i it was going to work as I needed it, it would be just barely and with modifications. The railing is TINY, just 1" and not strong at all. The chain link is weak. The gate is an atrocious design! You can latch it and still just push the gate open as it swings around the pole... If you're putting a larger dog in a kennel there's probably a reason, and unless you modify this one of three things will happen: it'll either end up on its side somewhere and your dog will be free, or the gate will be wide open and your dog will still be free; or, your dog will fuss with the chain link enough to pull the tensioners off the puny hooks that "hold it in place".

I have a 90 pound rot/lab mix, he has destroyed travel kennels in the past within days and escaped (as an example of his attitude and strength). This kennel has kept him secure for over a week now and I do not see any signs of wear or tear whats so ever. The other reviews that say their dog escaped - Those are also the ones that say they got it up in 30 minutes. It took my dad and I 2 hours to put this up and we made sure we did a good job. We used every single fastener that was supplied + some heavy duty zip ties and steal wire. If you put extra support on this kennels week spots there is no way of escape other than digging (I have it under some plywood). Also make sure you tighten the bolts on the latch or it can push open easily.

We got this kennel for our large german shepherd. I was a little worried based on other reviewers comments. We decided to take a chance and I am happy we did. The frame itself takes no more than 5 minutes to get up. The hard part is making sure the fencing is wrapped correctly (removing any slack) and also taking the time to place the ties on the kennel. This is very important though. Your hands start aching and you will want to rush it but you will pay for this later. Make sure you take your time and tie it securely with at least 3 wraps around the wire. After, you will be entertained as I was as I watched my shepherd test the whole kennel for weaknesses then lie down in surrender. He even likes his new home now and voluntarily goes in even when he isnt required to. Take your time and you will have great results.

Bought one so I could keep chickens in because I got the Idea online the first week another dog came and scratch and chewed through chain link mesh killed all my chickens then proceeded to get out of the kennel with no problem. Lost a nice rooster and two hens. So if you want to protect any animal inside or from getting in please do not buy this product !

The kennel was a breeze to assemble if the instructions are followed as written. This includes removing slack fabric and securing it to the frame with the provided tie wires. It is very sturdy. One small glitch was the breed of my dog. I have a beagle, otherwise known as the escape artist breed. She dug a hole under the frame during her first stay and escaped. I was able to remedy this issue by moving the kennel, rolling out mesh screen and replacing the kennel on top of the screen. Problem solved. The kennel is now perfect.
