I would not call this a professional sprinkler head, but it will work with any system provided you have the right water flow ,pressure, and proper installation ..

Yes. I have 34 in my 1.5 acre yard. They are the easiest to adjust of all I have tried. Easy to replace when necessary but generally last about 5 years.

Answer:
It should. I have purchased a number of these over several years, and *each* should have the K-Key either glued on the label (adhesive dot) or looped around the sprinkler with rubber band. I have saved mine in case future adjustment is needed. I am online because I am buying spares.

Hello: This Sprinkler has a 3/4" NPT(National Pipe Thread) threaded inlet, this is not the same thread pattern as a water hose connector, the best way to use this as a temp. system is to go to the garden shop and get one of the metal Sprinkler Spikes and mount the K8000 on this using a 1/2" PVC Threaded Nipple(3 or 4 inch work well), also you will need a 3/4" to 1/2" threaded reducer bushing to screw Read More

Answer:
Plan it all on paper, buy a unit, measure it's length while connected to a pvc connector to know how deep to dig... You need to know what your GPM/water pressure.. to know how many heads to put on
each zone. and when to drop pvc size down to 1/2" from 3/4" but maybe you should find a book on the subject and read it...

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's a sprinkler head.. There are many manufacturers of rotary sprinkler heads... K-rain work like others, in some ways more simpler in other ways not flexible enough.. but so far I am happy with the units.. August 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent purchase very easy to install, they are durable and last longer than I thought they would. August 17, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by K POP-UP GEAR DRIVE SPRINKLER I HAVE RATED THIS SPRINKLER HIGH, BUT THERE IS A CAVEAT..FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE LOST HAND STRENGTH. THIS MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO NEGIOTIATE SETTINGS. FOR YEARS I HAVE HANDLED THE JOB OF CHANGING AND SETTING SPRINKLERS ON OUR PROPERTY. MANY WOMEN DO THIS CHORE. I WISH THIS PRODUCT WAS EASIER IN THE FINGERS.. WHEN SET, IT WORKS GREAT. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by K rain 8000 3/4 pop up I personally learned through trial and error of multiple similar parts, that this is the least maintenance required. This product is extremely reliable and can take the most nature n human abuse..After 7 years I started replacing them.. September 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable Sprinkler The internal spring in this professional sprinkler is so strong that it 's difficult to pull the pop-up out for initial setup with the key provided. Otherwise, I would have rated it 5 stars. An improved key would be appreciated by folks of average hand strength. July 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot Internet Order I have used the K-rain sprinklers in the past and have always been pleased with the performance. I am especially please with the ease of setting the rotation of sprinkler arc. May 26, 2015
