We chose this primer based on other customer reviews and because we wanted something odorless while working in the winter time. We were very pleased with the outcomes of the original Kilz, even though windows needed to be opened to work with it and it went on like glue. The Odorless is NOTHING like it. It's not odorless and has a very strange odor which clings to your clothes and hair. In the complete opposite of the original Kilz it's like painting with slightly thicker milk causing it to splatter EVERYWHERE. It also goes on rough, leaving a large texture to the wall. Now as we're applying the paint I've discovered bleed marks, which is one of the reasons for using Kilz! And today as I removed some painters tape it peeled the paint off in SHEETS! We are using the same brand of paint we did in all other rooms and have sanded and prepped appropriately. I will be returning the other can we have and going back to original Kilz. Guess I'll be cracking some windows in the cold.

I have painted a lot but needed an oil based primer to cover sizing as a result of wallpaper removal. While this product did a great job of covering the textured walls it left a layer of "additional texture" that paint would not cover. In the end I was not happy with to final result and that is due to the primer.
Also, this spatters a lot so if you you it cover everything including yourself... skin and hair as you will have a hard time getting it off you. In the event that you get it in your hair rub vegetable oil on your hair BEFORE taking a shower and it will come out.
I have read the other posts on the "Odorless" comments and they are right. This product may be lower odor but definitely not odorless ant that should be stripped from the labeling. Open a lot of windows!

If your looking to hide water stains, look no more!
My bathroom had a leak on the ceiling and walls coming from my roof and I used this primer and presto! No more visible stains. I was impressed!
This odorless primer went on smooth and easy. No worrying about smelling the primer all over the house, or inhaling nasty fumes. The results were phenomenal.
I would suggest this Kilz Ultra Odorless Primer for anyone looking to cover stains or just everyday walls that leave markings behind. The price can't be beat for the walls looking their best.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jilly Great for killing pet urine stains
We own several rental properties. After pulling up pet urine soaked carpet/padding, we scrub the plywood floor then apply Kilz. No more pet urine stains . This stuff is magic. I HIGHLY recommend this product and advise to put it on the floor before putting down any padding/carpet if you have pets.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Charlee Not as good as the original
We bought a home that had been extensively smoked in and decided to spend more for the Odorless Kilz. We used two coats minimum of the Odorless Kilz. However one of our first projects was the main bathroom and I noticed the faint odor of tobacco when we showered. Painted the bathroom a second time with another base coat of Odorless Kilz. Again the faint odor of tobacco whenever we shower. The next rooms we painted we used Original Kilz and you cannot smell a thing. We would have saved ourselves money and time by using Original Kilz in the first place. Now we are planning to repaint the rooms in which we used Odorless Kilz.

My results differ from the others'. In my experience:
- It dries too quickly for good leveling and needs to be touch sanded to get the globs off. The sanding is quick and easy but is does create more dust.
- When applied over skim coated drywall it appears to be dissolving and blending with the the joint compound. I say this because the paint is thickening on application, especially when using a brush in corners, causing lots of brush drag. I didn't experience this issue in areas where a roller could be used.
- I applied a coat over a ceiling that had some brown staining, then applied Behr Premium Plus ceiling paint. A few days later the brown staining bled through. Subsequently I touched up the stains with a heavy coat of the Kilz and followed up with the Behr ceiling paint. Its now been a few weeks and the staining has not yet reappeared.
- Messy cleanup because its oil base.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 I really liked this primer. It only required one coat and because it is odorless it did not leave me with a terrible headache.
