Answer:
Hi Fluf,
Thanks for your question! Our Kilz Complete was not designed to seal in odor. We currently haven't tested our primers on the grey coating you find under your kitchen sink, so we're unable to recommended an appropriate product. You may want to reach out to your local Home Depot for some recommendations on a different product that would work for this area. Best wishes! - Sara

You should be good with two cans for your front door both sides. Use up both cans. The better the coverage the easier the painting task will be when you apply your finish coat.

An aerosol can will cover approximately 20 - 25 sq. gt per container, depending on the surface texture, porosity and application method. This does NOT include the loss of material from spraying. Please email us directly at ask@kilz.com if you have additional questions. Thanks!

Hello DIYer,
Thanks for your question. For oversprayed surfaces, we'd recommend wiping off the primer with a dry rag or paper towel while the surface is still wet. If it's dried, you could use fine grit sandpaper or a paint/stain overspray remover product. For skin, wash well with soap and water. For clothing, you might need to check with a Home Depot associate to see if they have any special remover Read More

Yes good to use on ceiling , always best to lay some plastic over any area you are painting overhead. Home Depot has very thin painters plastic that is easy to use and remove.

Answer:
When using this type of spray paint, follow the manufactures suggestions posted on the back of the can.
Anytime you are using a spray paint, you are going to get an over spray due to the pressure from the paint can.
It is always a good idea to cover everything in the area. Otherwise you will get a fine coating of paint dust over everything in the immediate area.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 56 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product met my every need for dealing with numerous water leaks to ceiling areas My mother's house had numerous water stains due to roof leaks over time. I am in the process of getting her house ready to sell as she is now in a permanent assisted-living center. Kilz aerosol has worked well in treating the stained areas and accepting matching paint such that there is no evidence of staining. The roof was also replaced as part of this project. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good coverage Kilz spray on primer works very well to cover/ seal sanded boards. 2 light coats did the trick. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent primer for stopping stains I needed to replace a piece of painted trim which was in size 2x6.The only board available in this size was pine. I used this primer to prime the pine board and to prevent sap from seeping and staining the white paint. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, covers nicely and doesn't run. I had to paint the wooden trim on my new shed. Since it's out in the elements, and the wood was new and unfinished, I wanted a good oil based primer. I didn't want to mess with the clean up of a brush on oil based product so I chose the spray can Kilz Complete. I went through quite a few cans to get the job done, but the finished product looked great. In order to finish the project, I ended up having to buy some of the standard spray Kilz as I bought them out of this product. Comparing Kilz Complete to the regular Kilz, it became apparent this product was much better. It covered better and didn't run. The regular is OK, but this is better and to me, was worth the extra cost. January 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use ~ performs as claimed For quick work in small areas, this aerosol can is quite handy. But ~ not every odd stain will cover, some contaminates and petrol products which have penetrated deeply WILL re-emerge or migrate to the surface. Good stuff but not magik. Some materials must be replaced. Always in my tool and paint box, though! September 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I bought this to spray the 'yellowed' plastic trim on my r.v. I gave it 4 stars until I see how it holds up. It sprays on well and has great coverage and seems to 'stick' to plastic and fiberglass really well. It sprays out heavier than most sprays I have purchased, so if you have a lot to spray...buy 2 cans. I will update the review in a couple months after I see how it holds up. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good even coverage but.. A lot is wasted when you are doing primer coat. For control and effeciency I prefer the can than the spray since I can control it and it's cheaper. But using spary gives you good finish as there are no brush strokes that you can see. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Am very pleased with this Kilz aerosol primer. I was amazed at its adhesion and color match. As said above, I am very happy with Kilz aerosol white primer. Will be looking to buy more when I run out because it has the best adhesion and its color match was perfect. Too, Kilz avoided a serious problem I am aware of with its competitor Rust-oleum's Painter's Touch aerosol white primer, which is Rust-oleum's loses pressure before product can be used up.
