I am going to be painting the inside of my house soon and I am 16 weeks pregnant, so my first trimester is over. Does this have really strong fumes? I am going to wear a mask but still, do I need to sleep somewhere else for the night?

KILZ Kwik Start will be safe for you to use as long as you follow the label instructions when applying and also using appropriate safety measures (wear eye protection and if possible use a common particulate mask to prevent inhalation of any fumes). The primer itself is a water-base, with virtually no odor and has a low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) rating. Please make sure the area is well-ventilated when painting. Answer:
Dear retiredoldman,
Kilz Kwik-Start Interior Water-Based Primer Sealer is not recommended for oriented strand board (OSB) but is a perfect primer for drywall, masonry and brick. A better choice for OSB would be Kilz Premium Water-Based Interior / Exterior Primer, Sealer and Stain Blocker.
Thank you for your question and good luck with your project!

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pail we bought was very thin and ran badly on wall I purchased a 5 gallon pail of Kilz Kwik-Start the other day to prime our new home and was very displeased with it. It turned out to be very thin, and after applying it to the wall, started to run off the wall. We just thought it was a thin product, and used it on the walls. We were not pleased with the coverage of the product at all. In order for it to not run, I had to put it on so thin, that we had to put two coats on each wall. We needed more to finish the job and bought 2, one gallon cans of Kwik-Start, and found it to be thick like other normal paint we have used in the past. I do not know if this was simply a bad batch, but would like some response. August 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kiwik 5-Gal Interior Primer Sealer The Primer Sealer looks good on my ceiling and walls. It dries quickly. I wish I would've bought this earlier before I painted my walls but it's okay, I went over it again because I needed that protection. It doesn't have a glossy look but more like flat paint. I would definitely buy it. June 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job as advertised! We bought this to repaint some kitchen chairs, and used this as primer under the paint. This effectively covered the under color, filled in the gaps, sealed the wood, and was "paint ready" in a matter of a couple hours really. Was a bit pricey for the small can we got, so if in doubt, go with a larger size to begin with, so you dont have to go back and buy a second can. August 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good thick paint Good thick paint, dries fast, very smooth when applying. March 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Easy to use, rolled out after spraying on new raw sheet rock. Filled in well. Was able to top coat in the hour \. Good value for the price October 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solves it all! I bought this product because I really didn't know what to buy, but I'm glad I did! It filled in imperfections and my paint and wallpaper turned out great! This is a must try! August 8, 2013
