For painters who want the performance of an oil-based primer in a water-based formula, KILZ Max is our newest primer, sealer and stainblocker. KILZ Max replaces high-VOC and flammable solvent-based primers. It's engineered with new technology that allows it to compete with the performance of oil- and shellac-base primers in nearly all stainblocking, odor sealing and tough adhesion situations.
