Answer:
The best way I've found to kill mold and stay healthy, is to use equal parts white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and spay it on the mold. This is safe, non-toxic and effective! This mixture kills the mold by changing the ph environment that they need to thrive on. Its much more effective and safer than using bleach!

Answer:
First, I'd take care of the moisture problem that caused the mold, then kill the mold with a spray-on bleach product and allow it all to dry. Never paint over wet or moist areas--never! Molds, fungus and mildew reproduce using spores that can survive anything but bleach.

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your inquiry. If your walls have mold, we suggest treatment to remove the mold completely first before you prime. Once the surface is mold-free and fully dried, we suggest either KILZ 2 or KILZ Premium to prime. Both of these products have a mildew-resistant finish. Hope this helps and best of luck on your project!

Answer:
The surface needs to be clean and free of all mold and mildew – cleaner with bleach or some other mold/mildew-killing chemical. This can then be applied to the surface to seal it. Go to solutions.kil.com for more info.

My need was for an oil based stain blocker. I usually wait 4 to 24 hours to make sure that the blocked stain stays hidden. As with most oil based paints, read and follow the instructions--and ventilate the area!

No, I'd never tint a primer. All primer paints should be over-coated with a top decorative paint anyway. The primer is actually an undercoat surface preparation and stain blocking paint.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 266 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kill original Great coverage for all surfaces. We have used this on paneled surfaces, vinyl wallpaper, ceilings and in camper trailers to paint over the fake wood. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good animal urine blocker Although product says it is not recommended for use on the floor, I did use it to cover up cat urine smell on a subfloor. I was successful in removing the smell. The product is a little hard to clean up. Don't use acetone as stated on back, but use Paint thinner. The product dries quicker (10mins) than I would like it to, but is still manageable if you can be quick. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good stuff!! This covered most of the water damage with one coat. The heavily damaged areas took two. Now all stains are completely covered. It is strong but with ventilation it's not too bad if you stay away from the area.It was hard to get off my skin though.I did wear gloves but a couple spots here and there took multiple washes to get off. Drips came off the walls easily if you wiped them quickly. Pretty satisfied overall. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Had to paint over old paneling. Covered in one coat. Need good ventilation it does have a strong odor. March 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great coverage It covered permenant marker that had been there for 20 years plus! March 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KILZ ODOR BLOCKS Awesome product for dealing with pet odors on subfloors. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Primer Using on Oriented Strand Board on the wall in my garage. Needed oil based because the glue in the OSB is water soluble, Two coats worked well and provided a good base. Will topcoat with latex. March 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stopped my old drywall from weeping If you have an older house with unfinished yellow drywall you will need this stuff. The oil base makes sure that yellow color doesn't weep back through your new paint job. I took off lots of old wallpaper and slapped on a coat of the latex version of this and it didn't work out. After a coat of oil based primer I had no more yellow tears. January 5, 2016
