UPSHOT 10-oz. Overhead Oil-Based Interior Stain Sealer Aerosol is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 240.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! After spending about 30 minutes on a two by 3 ft.² area trying to paint inside wooden grooves, I called it quits… The ceiling was too big to go at that pace. I went back looking for a spray paint to spray inside the since they didn't have to be perfect… The shadows of the grooves would hide any imperfections. They just had to look like they've been painted white. It took four cans (almost) to do this room which is approximately 8 x 9' and I only did the grooves with this… It saves so much time! With just under four cans I was able to finish all the cracks in about 45 minutes. As I went, I used a small roller to roll out any drips so that it looked good… I suggest you use an inexpensive little roller because by the time I was done the roller had actually dried and was unusable again (but very worth it!). I've been painted over the majority of the ceiling with the regular primer I had….That blended everything in nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I tend to be skeptical. I read lots of great reviews on this product and sincerely hoped it would perform as claimed. I was extremely happy that it certainly did! It was very easy to use and completely covered our severe water stains on the ceiling, which 4 coats of the regular Kilz primer had been unable to do, not to mention it was much quicker and easier to use! The overspray wasn't even as bad as some people made it out to be, but I was prepared with plastic covering nonetheless. The fumes are indeed pretty bad, so definitely make sure you have really good ventilation. It really helped me that I wore a mask as well. I'm already telling friends about how great this product is! Really pleased with it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked wonderfully Worked so great on our knock down ceiling to cover water damage, that my husband went around and did touch ups of paint mistakes. No, it does not match 100% but is close enough and cheaper than redoing the entire kitchen! As others have said, make sure to cover everything below it though its tough to get the over spray off. Hubby didn't think to cover the wood kitchen table or hardwood floors and it took some elbow grease to finally get off.

I did 5 coats with a primer and the stain came through like it wasn't even painter over. Did a quick trip to HD, read through the stain sealers, picked the one one that was least expensive and seems easiest to use (due to upward spray nozzle). I gave it one coat and it instantly covered stain. One coat of white ceiling paint and the job was done. Very easy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It worked I was replacing some overhead lighting fixtures. The old fixtures had larger scussions than the new fixtures leaving dark places on the white ceiling. The Kilzs upshot was easy to use and completely covered the stains. The white color matched very well with the white color of the existing ceiling eliminating the need for repainting the entire ceiling

Color match to ten-year old popcorn ceiling is only okay. Not as "flat" as I thought it would be. More like eggshell. As a result of the poor color match and finish, it requires lots of feathering into the old popcorn coating so the touch up doesn't stand out. Still, it seems to be the only readily available option.

Rather than cover furniture with drop cloths, I bought a small moving box also at Home Depot and taped the bottom together. I made a "X" big enough for my hand to go through wearing a glove. I held the box square to the ceiling and sprayed the upshot. After several coats it covered the spot.
