Home depot also offers a solar panel that is already compatible with it, it was out of my price range and didn't get it. I have other cheaper solar panels, the strongest one I have is 100 watts. It's as heavy as a battery and a very versatile product. I hope this helps you friend. Read Less

Answer:
I was able to chat with someone while I was on the website. He was also a veteran and said that they no longer offer the discount online because non veterans were taking advantage of it.

Answer:
This unit at 800W can output about 6 amps. The 40 amp battery would only support this load for about six hours. I recommend selecting a heater first then select an inverter / battery that can support the heater and amperage rating.

Answer:
At only 800W, maybe a small fridge and a fan, but not much else. You would need something in the kilowatt range to be comfortable for the night.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Power Outages!! I live in an area that gets a power outage almost every month. They last an average of four hours. I bought this device so I could watch TV and help keep others in the area aware of the power outage situation by using an online service to see announcements. This device provides just what I need and consider it a good buy. June 9, 2013
