We bought this unit because we had a tight area for the new toilet. This elongated unit fit in the same spot as our old round-bowl toilet. Styling is great. The extra height (about 2") is somewhat noticeable, but we're getting used to it. We were also pleased to find that even though it's a low volume flusher, flush is very efficient. Haven't had a need to do a second flush. As far as sound level, it's really about the same sound as our 1960's toilet, just much more water efficient.

I have always been a person who research any item before I purchase and now I have friends and family who want me to shop for them This particular item had great reviews and very high scores by several sites that utilized numeric computations. The added height which is comfortable as compared to that of a chair. It so great great not to have to go down so low when using the laboratory. The installation of this item was very simple as I installed it by myself as a single female. This is the second toliet installation, which has saved me a lot of plumbler's cost ; not to mention pride in the accomplishment. You will certainly need to purchase a Wax ring from your local hardware store Plumbing department.

This toilet is great and was very easy to install. You will need a water line and wax ring but it does come with a good quality soft close seat which is also easy to install. The AquaPiston flush system is pre-installed and shouldn't need any calibration. Just fill it with water and go (literally).
The toilet is heavy and very sturdy. It has a small tank and is relatively compact for a "Comfort height with Elongated Seat" style. The AquaPiston technology works really well. It flushes quickly and with force. The tank refills in about 30 seconds (of course that is also dependent on your water pressure). Also, with only 1.28 gallons per flush, we'll save over 1,800 gallons a year.
I highly recommend this toilet for DIY installation or pro installation.

Was worth the wait to have this shipped from factory. Installation was fairly easy but is a good idea to have two people as is 130 pounds and lining it up with the bolts is a job with only one person. Really like the one piece as is no empty space under the tank as is normal so cant get dirty under there where it is really hard to clean, (check out the picture). Like all the features like striking organic design very nice looks. Love that only uses 1.28 gal per flush will save on water bill, say about 16,500 gal per year over the older toilets that were over 3 gal per flush if you were lucky and only needed to flush once, this one is kind like it just shoots of the toilet, amazing. Slow closing seat means no slamming shut. This is a great design from Kohler again they seem to be the top plumbing fixture designer around on all there products

This Kohler Adair Comfort Height 1-Piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Elongated Toilet is a compact porcelain unit that has an ADA compliant chair height. It has a striking 1-piece integrated tank design that makes it ideal for the potty room in our master bath (see photos). When unpacking I was pleased to find the internal tank components fully assembled and installed. The toilet is well finished, fully glazed and of excellent quality. The assembly is straight forward with good instructions. The quite close seat provided is of excellent quality. This toilet has a narrower tank than the full size elongated one I replaced. The foot print is larger, there by covering up the caulk lines left by the previous toilet. It flushes completely and the seat closes very quietly, I have provided a demo video. All of these features add up to an excellent replacement toilet for DIY or new construction. It comes with a one year limited warranty.

I'm in the midst of a bathroom remodel. I bought a different toilet from a different manufacturer and my wife didn't like it. I got this Kohler model to replace it.
My wife really likes this toilet, as do I. First, the basics. Toilet installation doesn't vary much. If you aren't comfortable doing it, hire a licensed plumber.
I quizzed the Mrs.on why she liked this toilet more so than others. I'm mixing her opinions in with mine. First was the one piece design. We like the a clean modern look. Another not-so-glamorous "plus" I found with this 1-piece is that it is easier to clean. If you have boys, you understand what I'm talking about.
Because of the 1-piece design, the tank takes up less space. This design is less obtrusive in our small bathroom .
On to functionality. The piston flush works well. It's not overly noisy or harsh. We've have no need for a plunger since this was installed.
The height of the toilet is comfortable for everyone. Little kids will still need a step though.

I want to replace my older toilet to try to save on water, since California is rationing our water. This one uses 1.28 GPF, a lot better than the standard 1.6 GPF. A 20% saving per flush. Installation was easy since you don't have to install the tank and making sure that you don't over tight the bolts to the tank. NO worries here since it all in one. The unit is heavy but good news is you only have to install it once. The height from the floor to the top of seat is about 17.5 inches (not the top of the lid). The toilet seat is a slow closing lid so it want go slamming down when you close it. It doesn't come with a wax seal but that didn't matter with me because I don't usually use the one's that it come with. I use the DANCO Perfect Seal Toilet Wax Ring. For any reason you have to pull the toilet up you don't have to worry about replace it. The toilet is well design and has clean line to make it look modern toilet. When flushing it still makes the gulping sound, but when it fill up it is pretty quite. My wife was hoping it was quieter when it flushes. So far I happy with the toilet no issue. It comes with a 1 year warranty. The only issue that I have it took 2 months to get once I order it. When I email about that stated it was back ordered.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cmill Great toilet, but wish they went the extra mile.
This is a strong flushing, great looking toilet that will look great in any bathroom. I replaced an older style toilet in out first level powder room that would clog constantly when a guest used it. There is nothing more embarrassing for a visitor asking where the plunger is after they use the bathroom. I know for a fact that I will not have the same problem with this hard flushing toilet. ..well, maybe my brother in law. I love that it is one solid peice, which you don't see very often. It does make it very heavy when installing, but I still managed to do it myself. Also, this was the first toilet that I did not have to adjust for an hour just to get the water level right. One last great thing other than how well it flushes is how fast it fills up, and how quiet it is. It also comes with a slow closing lid which is a plus. Now that all being said, you would think that they would include a wax ring for the price you pay for this, and the bolts that are used to fasten to the floor are way to long. You will either have to cut them down to get the caps on, or buy shorter ones. It also took 3 months to ship. I understand that production can get held up, but wow. All in all, I am very happy with this toilet, and I am sure you will be too.
