Rated 5 out of 5Â by Gigi Great looking contemporary overflow feature
This Kohler overflow was only a small portion of an entire remodel of our bathroom, due to a New Year's Eve flood, that wasn't completed until March 10. All products we purchased came from Home Depot, and we are so pleased with the new updated bathroom we have. We purchased a Kohler tub, toilet, faucets, and towel accessories. We also purchased from Home Depot a beautiful vessel sink and contemporary water spout for our new granite countertops. All of these items were beautifully illuminated by pendant fixtures that were also purchased from Home Depot. We found new tiles for the floor and wall tiles, pebble liners, medallion tiles, and dome liners for an artistic creation in the bathtub surround all at our local Home Depot! As a retired interior designer, I am so pleased with all of the products Home Depot had to offer. I love the look, the quality, and the price. It almost made our stay away from home for 10 weeks bearable.

There have been many reviews regarding this drain not working due to a flaw in the design. I contacted Kohler for a replacement stopper because after a few months our drain quit holding water also. When I replaced the rubber gasket, I noticed that it was originally installed on the metal top that you press to engage/disengage the drain. So I replaced the new on there and it didn't fit properly. But I tried it anyway and the new one didn't work either. Then it hit me; you put the gasket on the threads of the plastic cartridge. Once I did that, it worked like a charm and I could screw the drain in completely instead of unscrewing it slightly in order for it to function. Easy fix. This drain also comes in oil rubbed bronze. You just have to order it elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by TheWolfman Really should come with the tub
Don't know why Kohler chooses to sell tubs without the drain included, especially since you have to cut the pipes in the drain kit to fit yourself. I was super thrilled to find that I had to buy a pretty expensive drain kit (for what it is) in addition to a pretty expensive tub. I'd recommend it only because you have to have one if you plan on actually using your Kohler tub.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by SKTX How to fix the drain
I have had this drain for over a year. It tends to come unscrewed, which makes the drain not hold water. (I'm sure that my four year old messing with it doesn't help.)
Here is how I fix it:
I unscrew the pop-up drain completely, as you would to remove and clean it. You should be able to remove it and hold it in your hand. (Go ahead and clean it while you have it out.)
I compress the pop-up mechanism and squeeze the drain together tightly. I then turn the drain WHILE HOLDING IT TOGETHER TIGHTLY so that the screw on the bottom starts to protrude. You want to keep turning it while compressing it together until the screw at the bottom sticks out at least a half inch. Then you can screw the drain back into the bottom of the tub - it should work perfectly after you do this.
Hope this helps.
