CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 151 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Archer Tub The tub was actually a fantastic tub until 3 months in a cracked formed on the lower rear section floor and I am working with Kohler for some kind of restitution. The warranty states product only, so if the tub is replaced by Kohler I have to have new granite wall torn out to replace with no restitution. So I am stuck with a costly repair on top of the original remodeling costs. The tub floor is soft at the rear section and besides a bed of mud additional support will be needed at installation. And they may not do it March 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking, solid, extra deep tub. We ordered this tub partly because it went well with the Craftsman/Mission style of our older (1918) house. We had it installed by a contractor for our bathroom remodel. He wanted to just use the adhesive installation process, but I insisted that he also place the tub on a mortar bed. I'm glad that I did. The tub sits nice and solid, does not flex at all in use that I can detect. (other reviews I had read complained about it flexing. -- Mortar bed cures that!.) The stepped style of the inside of the tub makes it look narrower than most, but we have found it to be plenty wide enough for our needs (but we shower, rather than soak most of the time). The specifications for this tub say that it is acrylic. When it arrived, I looked underneath, and it looked like fiberglass. Closer examination revealed that it is actually acrylic -- about 3/16" thick, backed by fiberglass reinforcement. So the fiberglass is what you see on the underside but acrylic is the user surface that you deal with. We do like this tub. The only drawback is that it is a little difficult for my very short wife to step into because it is a little taller than the average bathtub. We put grab handles at both ends of the tub to aid getting in and out. August 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by True Soaking Tub I cannot speak to the installation because I had my plumber install it. But, I can highly recommend this tub if you want a true soaking tub. The water level was at least as deep as the garden tub in my previous home. Some bathtubs are advertised as "soaking" tubs, but upon further investigation are not deep because of the overflow function. Also, I was originally skeptical about the comfort, and at 5'2" I did not fill the entire tub, but it was very comfortable to recline in. The tub material also feels very sturdy, and it looks great. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice deep tub. I have installed 4 of these for clients and they are very happy with them. The slotted overflow design gives a very deep water level while keeping the tub height at a manageable 19" high. Definitely recommend this product! January 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great soaking tub Archer tub fits in well in master bath remodel. Tub is fairly deep and not overly wide so utilizes less water and overflow is situated high in the tub and is attractive. Old tub was six foot and massive Jacuzzi tub. New one allowed for install of small shelf on side and rear of tub. Overall pleased with choice/value of this Kohler product. May 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Archer 5 ft. Soaking Tub I haven't use it yet, it was easy to install, and feels like good quality, Looks great. I think it is a little over priced, but I'm glad I purchased this one. It feels much stronger than the cheaper ones. January 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product and Nice Looking For An Alcove Tub This is a nice, sleek looking tub. I read countless reviews prior to buying our replacement tub for a full bathroom remodel. At first I thought the price tag on this one just didn't make sense with other options considerably lower and seemingly just as capable of getting the job done. However, after reading about a lot of people dealing with cracked tubs from the lower end products, I decided I'd pay a bit more for peace of mind and a nicer looking tub. A word of caution though is to pay attention to the width/height of your old tub compared to your new tub. We we're replacing a cast iron tub from the 60's, so it was lower and wider. We were aware of this, but we didn't think at all about what the plumbing might look like behind the wall and if there would be room to re-fit the plumbing with this tub. Thankfully the contractor doing our remodel (a relative) was very capable and made it work, despite slowing the overall project down a bit. For this reason alone I gave it a lower ease of installation rating, but that doesn't impact my overall satisfaction The other thing to keep in mind is you'll need to pay extra for the drain for this tub. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great tub, except....... The quality of this tub is very good - even my contractor said so, except....While the outside wall on which it sits is well insulated - I would have insulated the other sides and bottom, had I known how quickly the water cools down. It's too late for me, but that's what I would recommend to anyone who buys this tub. My only solution is to put in as much hot water as I can stand (less than soaking height), then keep adding to it while I soak. December 12, 2015
