We finally re-did our main bathroom; I chose this item because of the Kohler name and the color (which is very pretty). Our contractor installed it with no problem. Once it was used it began to leak. Our contractor looked at it and couldn't find where the leak was coming from - there were no cracks. It stopped and then leaked all over the bathroom (thankfully we were home and the rugs stopped it from reaching the cabinets); it began leaking again the next day. We removed it, returned it and went with an American Standard and although I don't have the Mexican Sand color, I don't have any more leaks. Also, we are not fans of the aquapiston flushing.

Toilet isn't bad but fully removing waste is a bit of a challenge for this one. Have a Cimmaron toilet too which doesn't have the issue. Might be the elongated or the 1.28gpf that is lacking cleaning the bowl on a flush. You will have to use toilet paper or multiple flushes to get it down. Also the arm inside the back that is used to flush hits the lid if pulled too hard. Poor design withthe handle on the side like that. It is a good toilet but I think there might be better options. If the Cimmaron came in this color, I would've preferred that.

Great product. Powerful flush clears quickly and completely compared to other low-water usage toilets.

It took three toilets from The Home Depot to get one that installed without a leak. The Home Depot was great about it. We purchased two, one went in great with no leaks, the other one had to be replaced twice before we got one that didn't leak. I don't know where the problems were, with the shipping, or somewhere else, but we finally got two great toilets. I love the heighth of them. It's going to be great as we get older and need more stability.

The toilet was operating as stated for the first six months until I started to notice an odd residue on my toilet floor. I thought the toilet base was leaking potentially due to the wax ring not being set correctly so I uninstalled it and purchased another wax ring from Home Depot and reinstalled it. A few weeks later, the same residue appeared after I had cleaned the floor and noticed the seal between the two piece toilet was leaking. I have contacted Home Depot and Kohler with no help. If I could, I would return the toilet and get a standard one piece.

This is quality, well made and attractive toilet, but the flush mechanism is a poor design. The lever hangs vertically and you need to pull it up and hold it to make the toilet flush.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MDACO Perfect solution for small powder room
We were looking for new toilet for a powder room renovation. We already picked the Kohler Archer sink and vanity. We went with the Archer toilet to complete the set, but had reservations about the 1.2 gal toilet. It was easy to install and works much, much better than expected. In addition the fit and finish, alignment of the parts and fact that the holes for the seat were parallel to the bowl were a big plus. Unlike my previous two Kohler toilets, it was easy to install and keep the seat on straight. The Archer is comfort height and a little smaller than a standard toilet so it fits well in a smaller space without looking "crowded."
