Be very wary of Kohler sinks. I needed to replace a 15 year old Kohler cast iron sink. Ordered replacement Kohler sink from Home Depot. It had a defective coating. The next replacement did also. Kohler authorized replacements and we went to stainless steel. The first replacement was dinged and warped out of the box. The second had a ding in the same spot. Finally the last one I had inspected prior to shipping and again upon arrival at Home Depot. It still had a small warp in it which I was able to straighten out. HD staff helpful, but Kohler products are poor quality. I would never again buy or recommend Kohler. They are expensive and poor quality. How many sinks do you have to order to get one that's acceptable??? Shouldn't be five!!!

We had a white cast iron sink before our kitchen remodel which never had any issues. Decided to upgrade to this Kohler model because it looked great and we thought Kohler meant quality. The porcelain cracked and chipped within 3 months of installation. Kohler does have a lifetime warranty and they were nice enough and quick enough to offer me a replacement but I will have to pay someone to take out the old sink and replace it with a new one hence the 1 star rating. Very disappointing.

I purchased this sink this morning. Double checked at the store before leaving to make sure it did not have cracks, chips, etc. Home Depot was very helpful putting it into my car. After purchasing the drains, ($50.00 each), plumbing kit, some foam insulation for sound I ended up spending almost $400.00. Don't know if I actually need all this but will return if not used. Will be hiring someone to install. Now just waiting for the young men next door to get out of bed and get it out of my car. This sink is replacing a builder's grade SS sink. The problem with the SS sink was the lack of sound insulation, and given we have very hard water here, nearly impossible to keep the sink looking clean. The SS has only a 6" depth so I am happy to be switching to a 9" depth.

Our new house came with a cheap plastic double kitchen sink. It took 5 years for me to get around to changing it. I was planing on using stainless steel but after looking at the prices my wife chose the Kohler Brookfield Cast Iron sink. She said it would be much easier to clean than the stainless steel and it should last forever.
I did not want to change the countertop and I was very happy the 33" x 22" size seems to be standard and it was the perfect replacement for the plastic sink. No cutting was required.
The only thing I would warn you about is the weight. It is a two person job to lift it up into place. Once it is set down it is there to stay.
We have been using the sink for 4 months now and it looks like new. We are very happy with it.

I was worried about the color, but it has brighten my kitchen so much I am thinking about getting everything else white. I tried to use the white Glacier Bay strainers and I could not connect the pipes to the sink. The threads at the end of the strainers would not catch. Got the cheaper strainers and they worked fine.

Very nice cast iron sink. Very heavy as is typical you will need help installing it. The drains are moved toward the rear of the sink and will require re-plumbing of the drains/disposal to be closer to the wall. The sink bowls are much larger than standard and your cutout size is critical.
All in all a good replacement for the acrylic sink we've had for a couple of years.

Great looking sink. Too bad you have to spend time scrubbing it after washing any kind of pots and pans. This sink is made just for show and not for anyone who is actually going to use it. I hate cleaning this sink. If you aren't going to wash anything then this sink is for you. How come nobody warned me? I read the reviews and read nothing about having to scrub the sink after every use.

This is a very beautiful sink and goes great with the new counter top I had installed. BUT, when the plumber went to hook up the sink the new connections I purchased that go into the the bottom of the sink for the garbage disposal and drain is where the problem began. No problem with the garbage disposal side. The drain side connection would not seal properly as the hole in the sink on that side appears to be larger than it should be. Even the old connection was too small. The rubber gasket had to be replaced with plumbers puddy. After a good hour the leaking was finally stopped but we don't know if it will last forever and I will have to keep an eye on it. Also the template for the new sink was used to cut the opening for the sink and although it is very heavy you can move the sink around in the opening as there is no way to fasten the sink to the underside of the counter top.
