The threads are contained in the toilet bowl itself. Are all the bolt attachments standard size.

Answer:
No, closed front has nothing to do with fasteners. What it means is that there is no gap at the front of the seat as one sees in many public toilet seats. It is not "U" shaped; it is elliptical, a fully closed circle.

The toilet seat also has a quick-release hinge that allows the toilet seat to be removed for easy cleaning. The hinge covers are easily lifted using a fingertip. Once the hinge covers are lifted, pull the toilet seat forward leaving the mounting hardware in place. After cleaning, simply push the toilet seat back into place and close the hinges. The Installation Guide has excellent diagrams which show the toilet seat installation and can be found here: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/a5/a51078fc-bb25-4df8-bd6f-9b6babc8bbf9.pdf

Hi Jane,
You need to find the color code that corresponds to your toilet color.. for example : almond is -47, white is -0 usually you'll find the model number before that try looking inside the tank. You'll see a number that starts with k-####- and the color code

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 250 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NNice and quiet No more banging lids! Fits well, remains stable, no more slamming heavy lids. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It is great, however only for big butts My husband likes the seat. I do not. He is a huge guy, 6'4", obviously with a big butt, so it works for him. I am 5'9" with a medium to small rear, not comfy for this girl. It was also a little weird to install it, but after getting it on, I liked the ability to remove the whole seat for cleaning in crevices. So, if you have a lot of family with Kim Kardashian or Beyonce sized rears, this is the seat for you! If your family are primarily small rear peeps, find something else. Hope this helps! August 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet As A Mouse Not the best, but very good for the price. It does what it is supposed to do, to close quietly and smoothly. What more can you ask. That is it's purpose. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Plastic. This seat is made with plastic and is uncomfortable to sit on. We returned it. August 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's a toilet... I haven't put in that many toilets before. I would say average. It took about an hour to install. September 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by They break easily Just two of us use this bathroom. We are not rough on things, either. But do have to report that these break at the hinge easily. The seat breaks off before the lid does. This time we're going to buy the more expensive seat. August 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the slow close lid We used to have one of these at our old house and when we moved the new house didn't have one. We finally bought one. I love it! Although beware you will be slamming everyone else's toilet lid. August 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy And quiet. A good replacement for a cheaper American Standard that was part of the original equipment. August 16, 2016
