I mean seriously how freaking hard is it to make a toilet seat that bolts down properly? It is so frustrating. I was replacing my cheap plastic screw toilet seat that came with my toilet and bought this. I screwed in and the one of the left separates when I tighten so the seat just stays loose so it's worthless and now I have to return it. I just want to buy a freaking toilet seat that actually bolts down and stays with no wiggle. I mean how freaking hard can it be to make a toilet seat with the right hardware to keep a toilet seat in place? So frustraing.

I have a Briggs toilets and these seat fits nicely and does not wiggle. Not sure what others are doing wrong, but this seat installs very easily and does not move. This is my second install. I also have the version with the night light in my master bathroom for 3 months now.
This is best plastic toilet seat you can get for $40. The plastic is thick and not flimsy like other models I have seen. I can sit on the seat while watching the kids in the tub and doesn't feel like it's gonna break. The plastic is much easier to clean than a wooden seat. If you have boys in the house I highly recommended this seat.

Bought three new toilets with new seats. The quick release mechanism makes this seat essentially unusable. When properly installed, it is loose and the seat comes off. When tightened the release arms spread and the seat comes off.
Bad engineering and bad quality control. Can't see how this ever made it passed the prototype stage.
Do not buy.

Toilet itself is wonderful
Can't say the same for the toilet seat.
Toilet is 2 years old.
This morning, my wife, who weighs 145 pounds, sat on the toilet and the seat cracked all the way through.
Cheap quality on the toilet seat.
As before, toilet itself is wonderful. Sure wish they would put better quality toilet seats on these toilets.
We purchased two of these so I guess the other one will be breaking soon and I will have to replace.
Stuff they make today is cheap. In older days, toilet seats used to last many, many, many years.
Shame as these toilets are not cheap.
Do not have a problem with Home Depot.
Love Home Depot!

Easy to install and a well fabricated product. Anything from Kohler is guaranteed to be reliable and durable and the toilet seats that they make are no different
As far as me uploading a photo of my product in action.....umm, take my word for it, it works well! We remain seated through the entire performance and we are flushed with excitement that we purchased it from Home Depot. We felt our money was well spent and didn't go down the drain...so to speak! Tanks much!

It was the first time for us to buy toilet seat in our life. We had no idea whats good or not. And we weren't sure if we wanted to spend 40 dollars on toilet seat while we can spend the money on something else. But we did, and we are pretty happy about it.
I like the look. It definitely looks better compared to cheap ones. Its comfortable to sit and it was super easy to install (Note:I was not there).
With 5 dollars more, you can get toilet seat with LED night light at Home Depot, but it is operated by batteries and which means you create more wastes by using it. I want people to be aware that.
I think this is one of the product, that is good price and something you can use for a long time.

I've had this toilet seat for only 4 months and it constantly falls off the toilet when you sit down or adjust yourself while already sitting. The lid came apart from the seat and the whole seat came off my toilet. Now my seat is in 3 pieces and I'm on my way to buy a new one. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

While a good quality with quiet close action for both the seat and lid, the seat has too much flex built in it at 230 lbs. The seat is also pretty concave at a steep angle so it feels like one has sat in a hole compared to my previous Bemis wood seat.
Of particular concern is that while the rear seat pads are molded in, the front are inserts which will probably be unavailable in 5 years or cast $5 each if they are.
