I now have 2 of these, replace over the last 4 months. My old toilets would plug practically every day. These new toilets have not plugged a single time, and flush with amazing power while only using 1.28 gallons per flush. You can hold the handle down for 2-3 seconds to get the maximum flush, but it is seldom, if ever necessary. I installed them both myself (just be careful not to over-tighten the bolts), using separately-purchased REINFORCED wax rings. Be sure to level/stabilize the toilet with shims and re-tighten the bolts after a few days or weeks (see the how-to video on this site). Seal to the floor with silicone sealer. Note that the biscuit color is lighter than almond.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mark Just what I wanted
I wanted to replace my contractor grade toilet which easily clogged with a quality toilet which flushes well. I ended up choosing the Kohler Cimarron Comfort Height 1.28 gpf. It is a 2 piece toilet. Bolting the tank to the toilet is much nicer now do to a bracket under the tank that holds the bolts. No more having to worry about them going down through the tank. When you flush it, it does not seem like it has a lot of power but in 3 months time, it has not once clogged or required a second flush. It does sit away from the wall pretty far but that is based on your rough-in. My only complaint is it does not come with a seat (but I new that before I purchased it).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by junebaby The other big retailer inclues a "bonus" seat with this toilet, but it's plastic and ill-designed....
We checked out Lowes, where this toilet comes with a slow close PLASTIC seat for about $88 more in biscuit. The seat is NOT comfortable. I had my husband try it! There was a toilet display with the "bonus" seat in the the store.....You can go to the Lowes reviews on the Cimmaron and see for yourself. The Kohler slow close $50 'bonus" seat might not be worth anything to you, as it may cut off the circulation of your legs while sitting for more than a few minutes. Many of the people who bought the Cimarron at Lowes complained about the seat and mentioned that they HAD to buy a new WOOD comfortable seat. SO, just thought I would pass that on to answer all the comments about having to buy a seperate seat. At least you didn't pay for the plastic "bonus" seat and have to buy another seat to complete your toilet!

Works great, uses very little water, and has a powerful flush. All of which are very important in a house full of teenagers.

Needed the high seat but small bathroom required the round bowl. Worked out very well, easy to install ( we're in our 70's and did it ourselves) Flushes very well with so much less water and the compact size is perfect for the room.

Best functioning toilet we've ever had, married 40 yrs. Great price too especially since it's bisque color, at the store a similar one had to be ordered and would cost at least $100 more. Also because it's a little taller it allowed our son, a stroke survivor to use a regular toilet instead of one of those icky raised jobs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ackack Flushes better than any toilet I have tried. our remodeler installed so I can't comment on that.
Great flushing performance and quick refill.
Needed special order due to biscuit color not in stock. Delivered to our home but the tank arrived cracked. Be sure to check special delivered products upon arrival so, if need be, another one can be ordered promptly. Home Depot customer service and sales personnel in Machesney Park, IL were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cfdmedic 2 piece Kohler toilet
After reading reviews and doing all the research I do before I buy anything, I bought 3 of these toilets. Our old toilets couldn't flush "fluids" well ~ let a lone the other .......after about 28 years of service or ran constantly and universal repair kits didn't fit.
I installed the first one in about 30 minutes. I was surprised how little water these unit used. After putting it to the 'test" and flushing, at first you don't think it going to clear but after about 1 second, "it's' gone and the tank refills before you are finished in the bathroom. I'm am very pleased with these units.
One thing to remember, because they are the comfort height, you will need about 2 more inches of supply line to connect to the tank. If you have about that much extra in a flexible line you can reuse the one you have but I had to buy 3 new 20' flexible lines.
