This Cimarron toilet features innovative AquaPiston technology, a patented flush engine that delivers a fast, powerful, and plug-free flush. A 1.28 Gal. flush provides significant water savings of up to 16,500 GPY, compared to a 3.5 Gal. toilet, without sacrificing performance.

  • Single-flush gravity uses the force of gravity and a precision-engineered tank, bowl, and trapway to create a strong siphon during flushing
  • AquaPiston canister allows water to flow into the bowl from all sides (360°), increasing the power and effectiveness of the flush
  • Flush valve's 3:2 ratio harnesses the natural force of gravity and optimizes flush performance
  • Durable canister design has 90% less exposed seal material than a 3 in. flapper, for leak-free performance. Light-touch canister flush requires a lower actuation force than a flapper

Customer Questions & Answers

Can this toilet be flushed manually as well?

Asked by: Evandra
No. There is no lever or knob as a backup system to flush this toilet when the auto flush fails. Your only option is to leave the lid off and stick your hand in the tank water and pull the flushing mechanism by hand.

Why does the toilet flush randomly on its own? How can this be remedied?

Asked by: kellipea
After fighting with these toilets for a year (either never flushing, or flushing over and over and over on their own.....after replacing the interior box, adjusting the metal bar.....I am giving Kohler 1 (ONE) more try at their NEW interior battery holder (it's supposed to be flawless now) before I replace all of my toilets. It is a nightmare with guests, and it is just a general trouble that I don't need in my otherwise busy, hectic life. I do not recommend these toilets at almost $500/piece. Not worth the aggravation, batteries, time and concern. I give the Kohler Cimarron Touchless Toilet zero stars.

How loud is it?

Some of the commercial toilets are very loud. Do you have to give up a powerfull flush for a quiet one?
Asked by: Mugs
Return what you have and get a normal flush toilet. After five months my three toilets did not work with the auto sensor, and I had to buy three new normal tanks because there is no knob backup, and HD has a strict three month return policy. These toilets were a nightmare.

I have an electrical outlet above the top of the toilet. How sensitive is the flush sensor. Will it flush when my hand passes by to plug in my razor.

Asked by: Perry
I have found that you need to pass something near the top right of the tank lid about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the area above the sensor. When my back was hurting, I took the air freshner can that was sitting to the left on top of the tank and moved over to the right enough to trip the sensor. Saved me a moment of back pain doing it that way. I don't know if your razor cord would loop down enough to do the same. Hey, isn't it time to get a cordless razor anyway?

Customer Reviews

Cimarron Touchless Comfort Height Complete Solution 2-Piece 1.28 GPF Elongated Toilet with AquaPiston in White is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Invention for the Home Bathroom! After using this toilet for a couple months I really don't have anything negative to say about it (except that I upgraded the seat to a slow closing one). I had some concerns looking at all the pieces in the box, the mechanism seems too small to control the flush, but it definitely works - every time. You simply wave your hand over the sensor and with one very faint beep the toilet flushes. The best part is we taught our dog how to put his nose over the sensor to flush - great party trick. Overall, the height is perfect, the mechanism is great, the low water use is fantastic, and the install was simple. Love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flush mechanism is poor. Takes several flushes for one... Flush mechanism is poor. Takes several flushes for one piece of tissue to go down. Water does not stay in the basin. A real lemon. Have had to contact Kohler direct to correct poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Knees are Happy Happy We were so excited to get this taller toilet – well mostly our knees were excited! We were able to install it ourselves fairly easily. We had bought a seal only to find out that a seal came with it. We decided to use our seal because it was thicker than the one that came with the toilet. We removed our current toilet. NOTE: Remember to flush twice before you move it or you’re going to have water on your feet. Installing the new toilet was easy – the main thing was to get the seal in the exact spot the first time so we wouldn't mess up the seal. Once we got that fastened down we added the tank. The neat part is the touchless flush. We put the actuator together and attached it to the back of the tank. It runs off 4 AA batteries. It uses a gear to turn a disk that the chain is attached to. Works very good and is very sensitive. If you store things on the back of the toilet you might be setting it off a lot. The hardest thing was the seat – I don’t like the plastic nuts that it came with and the instructions don’t show those, they show regular washer and nut. So far we are loving this addition to our home. The flush is strong. The questions that remain to be answered are, how long will the batteries last and how long will the actuator last? The best thing by far is the height. Now that both of us are having issues with our knees, everything that takes stress off them is wonderful. We will continue to replace our other toilets as time and money allow with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Tech Toilet Very impressed with the flush of this unit. Seems to use almost no water at all but gets the job done. The wave your hand over the tank to flush is pretty creative. I senses your hand through the lid and makes a little chime to let you know it has seen you and is flushing. Works almost every time even tough I still have tissues on the other side of the lid. Everything you will need included in the box except the tools. Get ready to lug it though as it weighs a whopping 100lbs! The seat is even included but I think for the cost they could have included a higher quality seat. It just seems a little flimsy. The elongated base gave me a little trouble because of the water line. The metal cover around my water line interfered with the install. I just bent up one side of the metal cover and that works fine. Who looks behind the toilet anyways!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great then Poor When we first installed this toilet it worked great. After around 3 months it started to flush on it's own. Called Kohler, did some adjustments, still did it's own flushing so they sent me a new lid for the flushing mechanism. This solved the issue - for another 3 months... I called back and they said they knew they had a bad batch of sensor lids and they would send another. This solved the issue, again - for 4 months this time. Now tonight, I'm hearing the same flushing all over again. Frustrated over this phantom flushing, I will be calling Kohler again tomorrow. I would stick with the handle until they figure out what the issue is...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Toilet with Touchless Flush System I recently upgraded the toilet in my bathroom with a new Kohler Cimarron Elongated Bowl Toilet, and also installed a Touchless Flush Kit on it. The advantage of going this route is that the toilet has the option of being hooked up as touchless flush only, or both manual and touchless flush. I am very impressed with this toilet. The Cimarron elongated bowl toilet has a compact 28.75 inch depth and a comfortable 16.5 inch bowl height. It uses a bracket system for mounting the tank to the lower bowl without using holes through the tank. The 3-inch AquaPiston Canister provides a very good flush, even when using only 1.28 gallons of water. The touchless flush system works great, and I really like having the option for both manual and touchless flush. Highly Recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING Every comment I have ever seen for the Kohler “complete” system is correct, for any normal installation, everything you really need is in the box. The toilet surprised me, it does in fact use only 1.28 gallon to do a complete flush. Each and every time the toilet was flushed it completely emptied the bowl. That was with 4 adults and 2 active teenage males using it. As amazing as it seems Kohler has found a way to do the job with the least amount of water I have ever seen. The common question I got was “is there a pump in there?”. No pump, just a great system for a water restricted Pacific Southwest.
