Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Homeremodeler533 Great Invention for the Home Bathroom!
After using this toilet for a couple months I really don't have anything negative to say about it (except that I upgraded the seat to a slow closing one). I had some concerns looking at all the pieces in the box, the mechanism seems too small to control the flush, but it definitely works - every time. You simply wave your hand over the sensor and with one very faint beep the toilet flushes. The best part is we taught our dog how to put his nose over the sensor to flush - great party trick. Overall, the height is perfect, the mechanism is great, the low water use is fantastic, and the install was simple. Love it!

I recently upgraded the toilet in my bathroom with a new Kohler Cimarron Elongated Bowl Toilet, and also installed a Touchless Flush Kit on it. The advantage of going this route is that the toilet has the option of being hooked up as touchless flush only, or both manual and touchless flush. I am very impressed with this toilet.
The Cimarron elongated bowl toilet has a compact 28.75 inch depth and a comfortable 16.5 inch bowl height. It uses a bracket system for mounting the tank to the lower bowl without using holes through the tank. The 3-inch AquaPiston Canister provides a very good flush, even when using only 1.28 gallons of water.
The touchless flush system works great, and I really like having the option for both manual and touchless flush. Highly Recommended!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mamajane1234 Our Knees are Happy Happy
We were so excited to get this taller toilet – well mostly our knees were excited! We were able to install it ourselves fairly easily. We had bought a seal only to find out that a seal came with it. We decided to use our seal because it was thicker than the one that came with the toilet. We removed our current toilet. NOTE: Remember to flush twice before you move it or you’re going to have water on your feet.
Installing the new toilet was easy – the main thing was to get the seal in the exact spot the first time so we wouldn't mess up the seal. Once we got that fastened down we added the tank. The neat part is the touchless flush. We put the actuator together and attached it to the back of the tank. It runs off 4 AA batteries. It uses a gear to turn a disk that the chain is attached to. Works very good and is very sensitive. If you store things on the back of the toilet you might be setting it off a lot. The hardest thing was the seat – I don’t like the plastic nuts that it came with and the instructions don’t show those, they show regular washer and nut.
So far we are loving this addition to our home. The flush is strong. The questions that remain to be answered are, how long will the batteries last and how long will the actuator last?
The best thing by far is the height. Now that both of us are having issues with our knees, everything that takes stress off them is wonderful. We will continue to replace our other toilets as time and money allow with this one.

Very impressed with the flush of this unit. Seems to use almost no water at all but gets the job done. The wave your hand over the tank to flush is pretty creative. I senses your hand through the lid and makes a little chime to let you know it has seen you and is flushing. Works almost every time even tough I still have tissues on the other side of the lid. Everything you will need included in the box except the tools. Get ready to lug it though as it weighs a whopping 100lbs! The seat is even included but I think for the cost they could have included a higher quality seat. It just seems a little flimsy. The elongated base gave me a little trouble because of the water line. The metal cover around my water line interfered with the install. I just bent up one side of the metal cover and that works fine. Who looks behind the toilet anyways!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mafroe2 Powerful, yet efficient toilet, combined with modern convenience
Powerful, yet efficient toilet, combined with modern convenience. Kohler has brought the convenience of the touchless flush to the residential market. The integration is seamless, yet innovative.
Starting with receiving the toilet it was shipped promptly and minimal packaging. Unpacking the toilet was a breeze, as all the parts and instructions were bundled. This set includes everything you need to replace a current toilet.
Installation was simple, clear instructions and very straight forward. Having installed a couple toilets before, it didn’t take me much time from start to finish. I could see the installation taking anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. I spent the longest time installing the touchless flush sensor, as I have never dealt with one before. Wanted to make sure it was installed precisely to the instructions.
Using the toilet is the same as any other toilet, the comfort height makes it easy getting up and down, really is the perfect height, although I am 6 foot tall. The elongated bowl gives you much more space and comfort than a round bowl, I’d recommend the elongated. The toilet that comes with the set is better than most and comfortable. I have replaced the seat although with a electric bidet, which fit perfectly on the elongated bowl. My prior elongated bowl’s shape wasn’t as good as this one. The tank is noticeably smaller in size than my previous toilets, required some painting touchup.
Coming from a 1.6 GPF toilet to a 1.28 GPF toilet, I didn’t expect the 1.28 GPF toilet to outperform the 1.6 GPF. Kohler’s “AquaPiston” design is impressive. The toilet is noticeable quieter, and flushed faster than others, using less water, with more power. This flush makes keeping the toilet bowl clean a lot easier, as the flush is 360 around the bowl.
The sensor works better than expected, all that is need is a wave of your hand over the back of the toilet, haven’t had any accidently flushes yet. The sensor set off distance perfect. The only thing to get used to with this toilet is that there is no flush handle, only the option to wave your hand over the sensor. The sensor uses batteries and will apparently start beeping with they need replaced, haven’t needed to replace yet. Overall it’s a great addition to any home, efficient, powerful, and hygienic.

When we first installed this toilet it worked great. After around 3 months it started to flush on it's own. Called Kohler, did some adjustments, still did it's own flushing so they sent me a new lid for the flushing mechanism. This solved the issue - for another 3 months... I called back and they said they knew they had a bad batch of sensor lids and they would send another. This solved the issue, again - for 4 months this time. Now tonight, I'm hearing the same flushing all over again. Frustrated over this phantom flushing, I will be calling Kohler again tomorrow. I would stick with the handle until they figure out what the issue is...

I just spent an hour cleaning up toilet water! This toilet looks awesome and is great to have the touch less especially with little kids. However like other reviewers have mentioned, it flushes at random times. This is really not good if it starts to overflow! Our daughter who is 8 and 50 pounds stops it up every time she goes number 2. We spend hours trying to get it unclogged. This toilet does not allow for enough pressure to force solids down. We have two of these unfortunately and have already had to replace one of the sensors because it was constantly flushing. Would not recommend buying this toilet until Kohler gets all the kinks worked out. Very disappointed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by vicguyMN Easy to install
By far the easiest toilet I have ever installed. Literally put the pieces together, turn on the water and its good to go. I didn't need to make any adjustments to the water level, no flap or ball to mess with. Only issue I had was with the seat. It didn't want to tighten down with the plastic nuts that it came with, but it eventually tightened enough to stay in place. The flush doesn't seem very strong, but it seems to work well enough. time will tell how long the batteries (included) will last.
