I was so much excited to put this toilet in our newly remodeled bathroom. I regret replacing our perfectly working toilet for this one. We constantly have to replace the batteries. I have started to keep track of how often we have to replace the batteries and we are on average about once a month. This is it's a guest bathroom! DO NOT buy this toilet!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by traleblazin Touchless toilet is great but..
The toilet was easy to install and use as other reviewers have posted and the height is just right for aging relatives that come to visit.I would rate this as excellent but I cannot because sometimes this toilet must be flushed 2-3 times to clean the bowl effectively.I'm sure this will result in shorter battery life and even higher water costs but let's face it folks- who really wants to see the "residue" left behind in the bowl of the toilet?

I bought the Cimarron Touchless Flush toilets at Home Depot. The toilet flushes throughout day and night. we install this maybe a year ago, but has been having problems since day one. I contacted Home Depot after 30 days and they told my husband we had to contact Kohler directly. Now, the aquapiston device has failed twice and now I am stuck with a toilet that must be flushed manually by lifting the lid! ARGH!!! Now I am worse off than when they just didn't flush the old fashion way!!! I would recommend consumer to stay away from any touchless product from Kohler.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daniel Great new product from Kohler
Touchless flushing imagine that. Runs on four AA battery and looks great. We added Kohler's new LED toilet lid and now have a very high tech bathroom for our quest - everyone loves it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by trogo Innovated Touchless Residential Toilet
I just upgraded my toilet to the new Kohler Cimarron Round Bowl Toilet with Touchless Flush. I contacted Kohler Technical Support and discovered that the new residential touchless actuator uses the same wave technology provided in Kohler’s well-established and reliable commercial touchless toilets. After using the toilet for a week, I am very impressed with the touchless system, and confident it is designed to provide years of worry free use.
The Cimarron round bowl toilet has a very compact 27.25 inch depth and a comfortable 16.5 inch bowl height. It also uses an innovative bracket system for mounting the tank to the lower bowl without using holes through the tank. The heart of the toilet is the 3-inch Aquapiston flush canister system. When actuated, 1.28 gallons of water rushes into the bowl for a short duration of time, and creates a very high quality flush. I have never seen a gravity flush toilet as efficient as the Kohler Cimarron.
The residential touchless flush system works flawlessly and is just another example of Kohler being the leader in toilet design and innovation. Highly recommended!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYinUT Great Toilet, Quiet flush, lacks Flush Handle
I chose this toilet to replace an older toilet that was using way too much water per flush.
This shipped to my house in an over-box with Styrofoam surrounding the retail box, no damage was found or noticed so shipping via .com was a viable option for this toilet.
This toilet came with everything you need to do the installation, mounting hardware and a wax seal. the toilet tank as external screws so there are no bolts that go through the tank which will prevent leaks down the road. and the mount feels to be just as sturdy which is a plus.
The only thing I didn't really like is that there is no option for a flush handle. this is touch-less and that's it. it's a small complaint overall, but worth mentioning. the flush mechanism mounts to the inside of the tank and is powered by 4 AA batteries (included). to flush you have to just wave your hand over the sensor it will beep and then flush. the sensor didn't work every-time at first. but this is covered in the user manual as it will self calibrate and get better after each use. Also the flush is much quieter than the previous toilet so that is a nice upgrade.
Overall I'm happy with the product

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dundee Touchless Toilet! Oh Yeah!
This is definitely a 5-star toilet. The touchless tank is easy to install. You just have to make sure that you get it set at the correct height when you install the hanger for the sensor inside of the tank. Kohler has an excellent video on their website that will walk you through every step. They also have a converter kit available for converting flapper or canister type toilet tanks to touchless. Home Depot also carries that product. The website instructions are very easy to follow. This set comes with everything that you need to install or replace your toilet. You get the wax ring, bolts, seat, sensor components and tank with the sensor on top. The sensor has an automatic feature that remains inactive for 10 seconds after the flush. You don't want to set anything on top of the sensor because it could make it inaccessible for your hand wave to activate the flushing. Flushing is activated by holding your hand over the sensor for 1-2 seconds.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sacherjj Toilet looks and works great. Quality Control, not so much
I received this as part of the Seeds program, free of charge. That is a blessing an a curse. I assume that companies that supply these as part of the program just pull from existing retail stock. If that is the case, Kohler needs to set up their quality control procedures. I think this is a 5 star product, but the serious crack in the lid of the toilet has knocked a star off the rating. It has also lowered my quality rating. Without this defect, I would consider this a 5 star product.
The toilet is high quality, like all high end Kohler toilets. My biggest worry about this toilet was that it would use many custom parts that would make servicing hard. Kohler handled this really well. They have a flushing module that mounts inside the tank. This has 4 AAs batteries and will detect your hand movement through the top of the tank. (See the included video.)
This module then hooks into standard toilet flushing mechanisms. This means that you don't have to learn new hardware, you just don't have the last handle piece of the puzzle. In my last visit to Home Depot, I saw that Kohler is also selling just this flushing sensor as a retrofit for existing toilets. So another showing of how it works with common hardware.
I was impressed with this technically, and the only problem I really have is the defects in the porcelain.
