We purchased this tub as a replacement for a lower profile metal tub and am quite pleased. The tub is stylish, has great depth and was easy to get up the stairs and through the existing doorway and framing for install. The install was fairly routine and completed within 3 hours however you will need to purchase a drain kit to install the tub. Overall I would say we are extremely pleased with the functionally, depth and stylish appearance of the tub and would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a new or replacement tub.

We have just brought this tub back to Home Depot for the second time and have placed a third order. We love the look of the tub and are in the process of renovating two bathrooms, using all Kohler products. The first tub had a small hairline crack and a large piece broken off the front corner of the apron. The second tub had no cracks or breaks but the raised molds on the front panels were marred due to no protective packing of any kind being used to protect them, this they run against the box during shipping. The overflow hole was cut completely off center so then whoever stuck the Kohler emblem above the hole slapped it on off center even more. Where is the quality control for Kohler. Very disappointed and hoping the third time is the charm. No Home Depot's fault - all Kohler.

Deep, compact tub with a decorative front. It was the only oval, alcove tub that fit into our compact space.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Equuswiz Maybe I got a dud cause it creaks horribly....
I had a professional install my tub. It creaks. At first it creaked really bad. Like just shifting your weight in certain spots made it creak, not just stepping in. I bought this tub because it had nearly a hundred reviews and was still almost 5 stars. But now I'm starting to suspect many of those were made before installation. Or maybe I was one of the very few unlucky ones that got a poorly made one. There is one other comment I saw that it creaks like on old house. There is no way more people wouldn't comment on how much it creaks if everyone's creaked so much. My plumber used FOUR cans of expanding foam under the tub. And it STILL creaks. Much less. It hasn't gone away but it's at the point I can live with it. But for a $500 tub, it should not creak at all!
It gets three stars and not one because it does look great. I love the deep soaker depth. I'm 5'5 and I can stretch my legs fully out and it only needs to be half full for my torso to be fully submerged.
Although some complain about it, I love that the ledge around the tub is so big. I don't have to worry about installing a corner caddy because I can store multiple shampoos, soap, body wash etc on the ledge.
If only it didn't creak it would be a 5 star tub.

This bathtub is beautiful. I love the extra width and depth. The areas at the ends are big with plenty of space for Shampoo bottles and candles! I'm so glad we picked this tub. I know we will have many years of enjoyment out of it. It is lightweight which made it easier for installation. There was one problem: the side of the tub bowed in after placement a tiny bit, so it would have been slightly noticeable on our tile, but to fix that problem, my handy husband bought a piece of slotted angle steel and stuck it under the side, pulled the tub side outward, and screwed the steel to the floor before we installed the new flooring. It worked great!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by diyforme Use mortor under tub
This is a great tub. But you should use the mortor method under the tub, or you will hear fiberglass cracking as you walk in it. Our contractor had to come back and add the motor under the tub, accessing it through the back wall to do it. After he did that, there has been no more cracking sounds. I love the arm rests', and comfortable back slant. This is a very deep tub, so just be forewarned that if you install a sliding glass door, that extra 1-2" added to the height, from the door frame, really makes a difference in getting in & out of the tub. It's a high step, and I'm pretty young, but I could see this being an issue once I'm older.
