I had it installed, very heavy sink, cleans up well, coated with carnuba wax to preserve finish.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jackofalltrades Best sink layout available
As a design engineer, I can say that this is the best kitchen sink layout available. The area for mounting faucets, soap dispensers, etc is offset, which allows the left-hand basin to be large to accommodate large cookware. By comparison, most kitchen sinks have he faucet-mounting surface extend the entire width of the sink, which wastes space and results in small basins. I also like the fact that the basins are deep enough for just about all kitchen duties but not so deep that the sink bottom (which is essentially the work surface) is so low as to give taller people like me a back ache. Sinks with deeper basins are also usually significantly more expensive. This sink layout used to be made by Eljer, who are not longer in business. I'm glad to see that this style of kitchen sink has been taken over by Kohler, as there was a period when it was out of production and my remodeling jobs during that time used the traditional inefficient sink layout--I feel guilty for the functional compromise that this imposed on my renters. Thanks, Kohler, for offering this product!

You may think replacing a sink is simple, and it is if you get the right sink. But there are a lot of things to consider. Things like: style and depth, material, functions for primary use, left handed?, RO or filters, countertop, splash guard, garbage disposal, and more. Why did I pick this sink? Because the evacuation / drain pipe was plumbed relatively high and a deep sink would not drain well. To install a deep sink (9 inches) would require more plumbing changes for both the sink and a dishwasher. Some simple measurements suggested by the HD Rep saved a lot of headaches and money and I got the best sink for my needs. Looks great, and makes life easy in the kitchen.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GeorgiainKona Not as Happy As I Wish
This was purchased & installed 2 years ago in our newly built home. I have had Kohler, almost same sink in past & after 20 years never had a scratch. This one has scratches & stains very easily. I have tried to use non abrasive product to keep it clean but it stills holds stains too easily. When I think of the one I had in Calif, it was the mauve color while this one is white. That may be the difference but I chose white to go w/the design of my kitchen. I do however like the large deep sink on left and even the right side is large enough for me. As for Kohler I honestly don't think this compares to the quality they pride themselves on.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SpinKix Very attractive sink
Very heavy, needs two men to lift into place, especially if the faucet is pre-installed (MUCH easier that way).
Biscuit color is very attractive. Looks great with Delta 9178-DST faucet and soap dispenser.
Be careful lifting the sink to apply sealant below rim. A screwdriver will chip the porcelain. Use plastic or wood wedges.
Home Depot delivery placed the sink in front of the garage door and left without ringing the door bell so I couldn't inspect for damage. They delivered around 9am when schedule said afternoon. No damage, but I knocked a star off overall rating for that.

Love it. Exactly what I was looking for. Plumber appeared to have no trouble regarding installation and hook-up.

Just what I wanted. One bowl large enough to place my large baking dish flate to soak. The second bowel is still large enough to rinse off other pots and pans.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by rockpile nice sink
Very nice sink, love the larger size bowl. I made the mistake of using a faucet that only had an 8" spout, barely made it to the larger size bowl because the faucet holes are on the right, not the center. So get a faucet with a higher arc and longer spout. Other than that the sink is wonderful. Shiny, heavy, all the things you want in a cast iron sink.
