Customer Questions & Answers

Are parts of the faucet or soap dispenser plastic? Can the soap dispenser be filled from the top?

Asked by: ZYZ7
Yes, parts of the soap dispenser are plastic - the soap holder cup under the sink is plastic. No, the soap dispenser cannot be filled from the top.

Can the control lever be installed on the left side of the faucet? If so, easily?

Asked by: Judy
Being right-handed, I naturally asked the plumber to put the lever on the right side. After using it for about two weeks, I realized I'm always going to the sink with a tea pot or pitcher or something in my right hand or wetting a sponge with my right hand, forcing me to crisscross my hands to use the lever with my left.....duh! Had the plumber come back and he switched it to the left side in about 10 minutes.

Is there a secure dock for pull-out function or magnetic hold? It seems rather heavy and may look strange limp. Thanks.

Asked by: Easygoing
The hose retracts into a pull-out spout and is tensioned by a weight attached to the hose under the sink. By the way, where you position that weight determines how much hose can pull out of the spout and thus determines how deep the sprayer can go into the sink. I found the weight is sufficient to pull the sprayer back into the spout securely with no droop.

Customer Reviews

Elate Single-Handle Pull-Out Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Vibrant Stainless is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straight forward to install. Excellent seal and a good water flow This single side lever handle, is sometimes referred to as `memory` in other faucets is effective for keeping the flowing water temperature the same when kept in the same position in this faucet. The all metal chrome, other than the water lines which include the sprayer and the it`s connection, makes for a very tough resilient stain free product. The flow rate is as forceful as I have yet to see in other faucets that I have used and is so powerful while using the spray, that it is best to keep the adjustment of the handle a little lower than you would normally have it set and yet a great asset for cleaning pots and pans. The pull out sprayer sits securely in its` housing and the supplied weight makes for an easy return and in addition has the option for spray or stream (and a pause) by selecting the button located on the top of this faucet/sprayer. The measurement from the plate to the top of the spout is 12-3/4 inches and extends approx. 10 inches which directs the flow of water to the middle of the sink. The installation is straight forward with the supplied plate and excellent rubber gasket that actually slots into the plate making for a good tight seal. A ½ nut driver will be needed to tighten the faucet to the plate. I didn’t have one available so I just used a ½ inch socket to hand tighten it until I get one which was good enough to seal temporally. Pros: Ceramic disk valves. Straight forward and quick to install. Lifetime limited warranty. All metal chrome. Extremely good water flow. Back-siphonage protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice look and well built. This is a really nice looking Faucet and doesn't feel cheap like some others at this price. We opted for the polished chrome version of it because it matches the rest of our kitchen. It went on easy and worked right away. I'm not sure why some of the reviewers had so much trouble right out of the box. We didn't have any but we also replaced the sink at the same time so it was much easier to install like that. The spray button is on the bottom instead of the top like I've normally had and it might take some time getting used to. I just installed it a few days ago so I can't speak to longevity but no problems at all so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Nice As They Come Always a top brand, Kohler has designed a beautiful kitchen faucet that is easy to install, with excellent instructions - and as a pro installer, I look for easy-to-install faucets to reduce the labor time and costs to my customers. The smooth design makes the faucet easy to clean. Has higher-quality brass waterways and long enough supply lines to reach most shutoff valves, a cost-saving advantage over faucets that require the purchase of extension supply lines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome The Kohler Elate single-handle pull-out sprayer kitchen faucet in polished chrome is very nice looking. I got it for my new sink that is not quite ready for it yet. I am glad to see it has ceramic disk valves like my old faucet. I wanted to try a faucet with the pull-out sprayer. This one has a 3 function pull-out sprayer and a high arch swing spout. The faucet is very well made with a great finish. I was happy to see the long supply lines for easy hook-up.

It is so much easier to adjust the temperature with a single handle. The pull out sprayer is an invention that should have been made years ago. And this Kohler faucet takes that feature to a new level. The sprayer adjusts from regular flow to spray and to HOLD. This is the first I've seen this HOLD feature. The height is great too. Great for washing tall pots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from industrial While there is something to be said about the look of a kitchen faucet styled after a commercial kitchens' utilitarian dish-spraying, coiled look, some kitchens need the balance of a simply styled, basic industrial looking faucet. This faucet has great features, as you would expect when you see the Kohler name, The pull out sprayer, 2 streams and pause and the turnable head are all welcome.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Price is very low for Kohler. I don't like the style-look. Some reviewers of similar model had initial valve issues. Maybe they fixed that now. Home Depot seems to sell 2 versions of this Faucet that both look identical. 13963-SD-CP w/ 5 stars and 13963-CP w/ 4 stars. Maybe they have worked out some initial kinks in the initial model. I like Kohler, and how they give you good supply lines. The look of this unit for my tastes however is awful. The head & base are fat, yet in between it seems thin & funkily proportioned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Great Faucet!! This is a 5 star Product!! We bought this faucet online since it was not available in the store and I was apprehensive since I couldn't see it in person. Still wasn't sure about it until my husband put it in. LOVE this faucet....It is so easy to turn on and off it's almost like the touch on faucets but about $200 cheaper. The pull out works smooth and easily retracts. The height is great for tall pots but tends to make the water splatter somewhat when rinsing things. However, that being said this is probably the best faucet I've ever had the pleasure of using. To me Kohler is the cadillac of faucets so what's not to like. Plus it looks beautiful!!
