Customer Questions & Answers

Are parts of the faucet or soap dispenser plastic? Can the soap dispenser be filled from the top?

Asked by: ZYZ7
Yes, parts of the soap dispenser are plastic - the soap holder cup under the sink is plastic. No, the soap dispenser cannot be filled from the top.

Can the control lever be installed on the left side of the faucet? If so, easily?

Asked by: Judy
Being right-handed, I naturally asked the plumber to put the lever on the right side. After using it for about two weeks, I realized I'm always going to the sink with a tea pot or pitcher or something in my right hand or wetting a sponge with my right hand, forcing me to crisscross my hands to use the lever with my left.....duh! Had the plumber come back and he switched it to the left side in about 10 minutes.

Is there a secure dock for pull-out function or magnetic hold? It seems rather heavy and may look strange limp. Thanks.

Asked by: Easygoing
The hose retracts into a pull-out spout and is tensioned by a weight attached to the hose under the sink. By the way, where you position that weight determines how much hose can pull out of the spout and thus determines how deep the sprayer can go into the sink. I found the weight is sufficient to pull the sprayer back into the spout securely with no droop.

No cold water

I bought this faucet in last November. Today, when I turned on cold water, only saw water dripping. The hot water has no problem. All other faucets in the house have no problem. What is wrong with this new faucet? Thanks.
Asked by: husk
Since you had cold water before, there are a few things that could cause you to loose cold water, almost all of them need to be checked by a plumber or by the person who installed the faucet. A clogged cold water line, a clogged cold water shut-off valve under your sink, a clogged cold water path through the faucet itself.

I recently replaced my kitchen faucet with the Kohler Elate Single handle and have had it for about a month now. I chose this model for the sleek design, looks and height, as this it is not nearly as tall (12") vs. the more commercial type faucets (16"+). Because the profile has a 90 degree design, as opposed a low curve or 45 degree angle, to I'm able to maneuver large pots and other large items effortlessly. I like that It offers a generous water flow and usually don't have to turn it on any more than 3/4. The pull-out spray attachment also has a "pause" button, which allows you to stop the flow of water as long as the button stays depressed, which is very handy. I opted for the Chrome finish, which is nice and shiny, but you can see every smudge and fingerprint on - but cleans up easily so it's not much of a problem. Overall, I'm very happy with my Kohler faucet purchase and highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Great Faucet!! This is a 5 star Product!! We bought this faucet online since it was not available in the store and I was apprehensive since I couldn't see it in person. Still wasn't sure about it until my husband put it in. LOVE this faucet....It is so easy to turn on and off it's almost like the touch on faucets but about $200 cheaper. The pull out works smooth and easily retracts. The height is great for tall pots but tends to make the water splatter somewhat when rinsing things. However, that being said this is probably the best faucet I've ever had the pleasure of using. To me Kohler is the cadillac of faucets so what's not to like. Plus it looks beautiful!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Water flow is constantly being restricted by shut-off valve in spray This faucet has a button on the spray head you can press in to stop the flow of water. The button never fully disengages and so the water volume is constantly being limited. Every so often, I pry out the button with a knife, and the flow is okay for a day or two. And then it engages again, and the flow is restricted. A replacement head costs $50+. I expected much higher quality for the cost of this faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from clean, simple, stylish I've really enjoyed this faucet so far. Price was the best on the web (since it included a soap dispenser). Shipping was relatively quick and I had the faucet installed the same night. Installation went well. This is the first faucet I've installed and did not hit any major troubles. The worst part was removing my old one. I enjoy being able to turn the faucet on and off with the back of my hand. Temperature stays fixed right where you left it, which is convenient. The action and movement of all the parts is very pleasing. Not difficult to move, not too loose. The height is significantly higher than my previous faucet and I've enjoyed being less hunched when I use it. The spray function does tend to splatter in my standard sink, but this is a minor complaint. No splatter in the other mode. Brushed stainless cleans easily. Overall, improved the look of my kitchen. Quite pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pointers before you buy I replaced a Price Pfizer with this faucet. Heads up: 1) the design of the faucet, with opening laterally to increase water flow, is impeded by the soap dispenser's height, assuming you have standard openings. So, dispenser must be placed opposite side of water control handle on faucet. 2) faucet and associated water connectors did not fit through the standard opening in my countertop; it had to be disassembled to remove the weight on the pull out hose, so everything else could fit and then weight replaced. That being said, I am thus far very happy with the faucet and it's functionality, especially the pause button on the sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet for the price! I bought this faucet because it's one of the few out there in this price range that still have actual metal insides and constructed to last! I also really like that it's not as high and awkward like many of those gooseneck pull down faucets!
