Customer Questions & Answers

Will this REALLY fit my shower??

The Product Overview lists the opening width for installation as being 31.25-32.75 inches. However the door width in the specifications is listed as 32.75 inches. How do you fit a door that is 32.75 inches into an opening that is 31.25 inches? The installation instructions with our shower (Aquatic A2 36x36x76) list a door width of 32.125. I am ready to order this door but do NOT want to get it here and find out it won't fit! Can someone confirm if this will fit so I can order it please?

Hello, my name is Leah with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your shower door question. I apologize you were unable to find the information you were looking for. The Fluence Shower Door, model 702404-G54-MX can be installed in an opening that ranges 31.25" to 32.75." The tolerance is available due to how the wall jambs are installed and adjusted allowing this variance. I believe it is an unclear specification listed on the website and I have forwarded this question to the proper parties to review. If your finished opening is between 31.25' and 32.75" the door can be installed. Please work with your local Home Depot for pricing and availability on this product. Thank you for choosing the Bold Look of KOHLER.

Fluence 32-3/4 in. x 65-1/2 in. Semi-Frameless Pivot Shower Door in Matte Nickel with Crystal Clear Glass is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Impressed The socket head screws are cheap and strip easily, I had to buy stainless steel philips head screws to use in their place. The sealing strip was cut too short from the manufacturer and I had to order a replacement. The gap at the bottom of the door allows water outside the shower; I confirmed the gap with the manufacturer and it is supposed to be there, why I don't know. I'm researching an alternate seal. The quality overall is OK, probably would have gone with something different.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shower Door Instructions could have been a little better at describing orientation / relation of parts assembly. Fine quality product upon completion. Approximate 2 hour assembly time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Door, Simple Installation If you read the instructions carefully, and use good judgement, this door goes in quite nicely. It has a good solid feel in its weight, pivot and "locking" mechanism. My only beef is with the coating that they put on the inner glass. It causes my squeegy to bounce along rather than glide. It is not a big deal. I might add that the knobs/door handles do stick out about 1 1/2 inches on both sides - not much a problem for my situation, but they could stick out into "traffic" in some situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good door great service Door came four days after ordered. Packaged very nicely. Hardware was on a shrink wrap card that looked like a strip of paper from the back. Had to file corners to fit the fiberglass one piece shower but a little patience made that come out right. Cut the threshold piece too short and called customer service to reorder. My heart was in my throat because it was all going so well up until then. They were very nice and sent me a replacement at no charge. The door is in now and everything fits and works great. Adjustments were easy. Looks good too and does not have the top cross piece to bump your head against. This is the door I wanted and I am glad I did not compromise. Just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Precise but worth it This is a quality product, and it was not immediately apparent how to put it in; however, in the end, it worked fine and wasn't that hard. I was concerned because the minimum width was stated at 31 1/4", and my opening was barely that. In fact, the door fit fine. Also, several people warned me to buy a diamond drill to drill through the tile. I did and it was worth it; I did not break any tile. The biggestchallenge was that the two jambs need to be absolutely parallel, and the tile had not been set very evenly. I used an angle grinder to cut a groove through a few of the tiles that were set too far out. Also, I bought longer screws and attached the jambs to the studs (I did not use the provided anchors). Once in, the door has become the focal point of our new bathroom and it looks great. PS: I do NOT have any particular carpentry skills, and I thought installation went fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and great value The frame appears to be made of an alloy and appears fairly rigid and strong, so not cheap or plastic. There is also a coating on the inside of glass that beads the water to help keep it cleaner and easier to maintain. I was worried about fitting an opening exactly 31 1/4", but this model has enough adjustability to fit a little smaller than that. The adjustability of this model is excellent and turned out perfect. Be sure to read the instructions carefully before assembly and carefully level the wall jambs for a good seal. Parts are labeled well, which makes the job go smoother. The instructions are fairly accurate, but I did find one error about the size of screws to use in mounting the roller latches. It's no big deal since they were the only ones left, but the hex head of these did round out a bit during install. The finished door has the appearance of a custom door costing atleast 3x as much. Very solid and well constucted. Door arrived sooner than expected also, about 6 days...thumbs up to HD as well on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! This was the first shower door I ever installed. I liked the quality and it looks great. I was really worried about how difficult it would be to install, but it went in fairly smoothly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product exceeded my expectations I bought this product because my cheaper pivot door with a six inch stationary panel shattered while I was showering. The glass in this door is thinker. The door is frameless which gives it a better and uncluttered look and it was easy to install
