Answer:
Shower door swings to outside but it is designed as to not drop water on floor. No issues at all with water getting outside shower. There is a plastic lip on bottom of shwoer that shoots water inward.

Hello my name is Brittany with KOHLER Customer Service.
No, the Fluence pivot shower door 702406-L-SH only swings outward due to safety precautions and it is against federal and state codes to have it swing inward.

Go to Koehler website for more details on widths. Their doors are adjustable to fit differing widths. It's really easy to adjust. It's hard to explain how to adjust it in an email setting. Fluence 34 in. x 65-1/2 in. Frameless Pivot Shower Door in Anodized Brushed Bronze Finish is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor hardware - size matters The door came packaged well and not damaged. The hardware (screws) sent with the door was of such poor quality the allen wrench head stripped before final adjustment. I had to drill the screw heads off the door and purchase strong phillips head screws. The final adjustment - the 34 inch door barely fit, too small. My opening was exactly 34 inches and the walls were perfectly plum, so I ordered the 34 inch door. The glass door could have been a full inch to 1 1/2 inches bigger! I had to extend both sides of the adjustment so far out that they barely held to the frame and you could see the cut outs on the framing from the inside of the shower. Nice door! - too small and poor hardware.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed The description of this Kohler shower door is "anodized brushed bronze," but the finish on the one edge looks more like brushed gold. It does not match the bronze fixtures in the bathroom at all. Very disappointing - I will have to return it. I bought this on-line and it is often hard to determine what finishes actually look like on a computer monitor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Order a size bigger and buy a new good quality alen wrench for installation Okay this door is finally installed and look awesome. Image of this door shows glass to have some pattern on it though it has been described as clear so I was a little concerned how it comes out to be. So the first thing I did when I received the door to open the box to see glass and yes it was clear. What a relief. One problem which a lot of people are having it with those tiny screws on inner side of door jambs. This door is not geting five star reviews only because of those screws. I found nothing was wrong with the screws you don't need to spend 1$ a piece to get stainless screws. What you actually need a good quality stainless steel Allen wrench. That black steal wrench which came with the product is such a poor quality that it ends starts getting round when you try to tighten those screws. I learned it hard way after spending few hours on those screws and thinking about doing what others did, to buy new stainless Steel screws. Then I found a stainless steel alen wrench in my tools which worked as a champ. So remember not to waste any time trying that cheap alen wrench which came with the hardware. It is shamefull that Kohler hasn't figured that out yet. Other interesting thing which I found was it is not mentioned any where ( at least I didn't find) that these doors are adjustable to about two inches. So order a two inch size bigger then what you are looking for. I ordered a 34" door for my 34" opening. Now door is extended from each side to fit into a 34" opening. If I had a 32" opening this door wouldnt need to be extended on each side. Now I have 2" of extra aluminum showing instead do two more inch of glass which makes this door less stable. So order a 36" door if you have 34" opening. I put silicon cocking on each side where door jambs and door extenders meet to provide some more stability. The glass came attached to a aluminum piece on the side where it pivots. There was a clear rubber seal inside which shouldn't be showing but it was crumbled a little on one side and a piece of metal inside to hold the screw was also showing. It should have not gone un noticed by the quality inspection. It was to problematic for me to return the door for that reason and get a new door. So I decided to install the one which came with it. Overall I liked the door it looks good and a good price but remember to order a two inch bigger size and investing in a good quality wrench. Some how I'm unable to upload pictures from my iPad to back up my review. Look like I may have to download on my computer first to upload. I'll try to do this another time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would purchase again This door has been installed for about a year now. It has held up very well, the only issue I had was with the threshold seal, the plastic bottom edge cracked. I took advantage of a promo sale and was able to get it for $256 with free shipping! It came nicely packaged without any damage. I read the reviews first and there were many complaints about the allen wrench so I used my own. Yes the screws are not the best, I would imagine they would strip if they needed to be removed and reinstalled. I ordered the 34" door even though my walls are only 32 3/4" plum. I did not have to extend the sides of the adjustment, the track fit perfectly as if it were a custom fit.The biggest precaution when ordering is to make sure you get the correct size door. WORD TO THE WISE, GO ONE SIZE UP AND ORDER A LARGER DOOR!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking at a reasonable price The door came in interesting packaging, lots of random cardboard and foam, but when it was all unpacked it was in perfect shape. The install was pretty straight forward. The instructions state to use a masonry bit to drill through the tile to mount the frame. I can say from experience this isn't the best option, spend $10 on a glass and tile bit and it will save you loads of time and frustration. My only disappointment is not with the shower door, but with my existing shower pan. The Kohler door frame is quite wide (probably about 4 inches). My shower pan however, has a two inch shelf, then steps down about an inch before having another shelf which then drops to the bottom of the pan (only the door side has this). This made deciding where to mount the frame somewhat tricky, and when all is said and done there is open space on the inner side under the bottom of the side frames and along the entire bottom frame. Time will tell if this is a problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Door Do Not Purchase Purchased this door as it had a 4-star review online and people who purchased said it was easy to install. This was to go on a shower for a complete remodeled bathroom. The door came with the sides all smashed in and they were unusable. I had a contractor installing this door. He said it was poor quality and very difficult to install. He had to return to the store and purchase material to construct the sides so we would not have to wait for another door to come in. The entire installation was a disaster and a nightmare for me. What should have been a couple of hours turned into an all day project. When he tried to put the door in, there was a gap and the door and the sides would not meet and would remain open. I called Kohler and they wanted to send new parts. I will never purchase another Kohler product. I purchased this door thinking Kohler is well-known for their bath items and I thought they manufactured a good product. Unfortunately, my contractor will find a way to install this door. Eventually, I will purchase a better door and have someone install it. It's just to bad I had to have holes made into granite that now do not aline with the new sides because of Kohler. I have lost faith in this company and plan to write them and let them know. So buyer beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Kohler Shower door was an excellent purchase. The shower door was fairly easy to install as the instructions were good. It is very high quality and a solid door-no creaking or racking. The glass on the door has some sort of water shield that sheds the water droplets so no film or water marks are left after taking a shower. I am very pleased with the purchase and would definitely purchase Kohler products in the future.
