While shopping for a new shower door, I found a wide range of prices and some doors were several times more expensive than this one. I took a chance and ordered this one and I am very pleased with the product. The aluminum may not be as beefy as the higher-priced models, but it is sufficient and you can't really tell once the door is installed. Remarkably easy to install, but you do need to make perfectly straight cuts in two large pieces of aluminum with a hacksaw. The glass has a coating that keeps it clean and after one month of use, I can say that it seems to work as advertized.

Bought this door for a smaller opening and it fit just right at 43 inches. If you buy a larger door than it will cut down on your entry space. Looks really nice, not cheap like some others have complained about. Had the door installed by a professional but I watched him every step of the way. He had no problems. If you purchase this door, be sure to have a tiny allen wrench to install the door handles as it is not included. Over a all I am very pleased with this door.

I had to special order a bypass shower door given the
small dimensions of our bathroom and found this door on your web site, it had all the options I was looking for. I like the frameless clear glass door, it slides easily and the towel bars are attractive. I had it installed so I can not rate the ease of installation.

I recommend this shower door with reservations. It's OK, but only given that it's much cheaper than other products I considered. My big issues were product quality and quality control at the assembly plant. The aluminum used for the frame looks a bit cheap and is on the flimsy side. One aluminum frame piece was dented and bent right out of the box. I could re-shape it, so that you only see the uneven part when you know where it is. One of the handle bars came with poorly-installed threading, so that I couldn't evenly mount it with the matching screw through the glass door. To Kohler's credit, it was easy to call them and they quickly sent me a replacement bar that fit much better. The two glass panels are both treated with a stain-repellent coating that should make cleaning easier. The coating is only on the sides that face into the shower. You can't use any of the usual glass cleaners on it--it would destroy the coating. Unfortunately, somebody stuck cardboard spacers onto the coated side of one of the glass panels during assembly for shipping. That meant that I now had to get sticker residue off the coated glass, and without any of the usual chemicals. Kohler customer support told me to use vegetable oil. It worked OK--90% of the sticker residue is gone. It was another challenge to remove the oil with only water and sponge. All of this because someone at their plant stuck two brown cardboard spacers to the wrong side of the glass. Sent Kohler a message via their website, letting them know that someone at their plant isn't doing his/her job right. Unusual for Kohler, they never responded.
Installation was easy and straightforward following the instructions. Then again, I had to order a replacement handle bar and rub the door with canola oil until the cows came home to get the sticker residue off.
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Luckily, you don't pay much for this unit. And once I had everything in place, it looked good enough.
