What is the weight limit for the towel bars?

It seems likely that eventually someone will use the towel bar for physical support while leaning in the shower. Will the glass or towel bar break in this case? There doesn't seem to be anything addressing this in the documentation for the shower doors.

Answer:
The stainless 1/4-20 sized screws are bumpered on both sides with a tough silicone gasket and the screw has a large diameter head. They tighten up solid using a 1/8 inch allen wrench. I see no reasonable limit such as wet towels, but I would not hang on them. However, if you used them for supporting yourself while climbing into the shower, I would be confident they would be fine.

Answer:
The top and bottom tracks can be cut with a hacksaw blade to any width. The glass doors will simply overlap more when closed and the walk through opening will be reduced when the doors are open. You would not want to even think about cutting the glass doors themselves,

Answer:
Greetings,
My name is Tom, also known as HD116 at Home Depot's How to Community. I am here today assisting with some product questions and saw yours.
As this is a bypass door, there is a range that is acceptable with 47 5/8" being the max. A width of 46" would be fine.
Hope that helps.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by turns out great! We brought this to install in our tiny bathroom. The width for the shower stall is 46 and this fits perfectly. My dad is quite the handyman and it took him 6 hours to install. May 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install with smooth beautiful results The instructions were clear and very easy to read. Even comes in Spanish. The pieces fit beautifully together and cut easily with a carbide blade on my circular saw. Thought the side panel screws could be longer and the rubber bumpers pulled through when installed, but are robust. Brass washers solved this.. It does feature a great roller system that has a bottom U channel that fits over the base track and eliminates water getting out. The coated surface is great as water just beads off. Great handle system works as a towel rack. Highly recommended as it has many features at a reasonable price. I will be installing more of these on my renovations. September 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by door wont stay secure on lower track - needs velcro HD order# W143389695, Still struggling with this problem, step 19, the screw-head doesnt grip enough of the panel guide to secure the panel. Infact, the way its all been machined, only half of the head of the screw grips the panel. Eventually, the panel guide will dislodge from the screw. The door hangs from a screw hole at the top so the problem isnt "well the door was installed to high off the ground". Thought I would add some pics this time. I tried adding screw washers & then cheap velcro to keep that panel guide in place. Now tried quality velcro glued with plumbers glue. Warranty, well I could pay for an uninstall & a re-install again or ..velcro!! April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kohler Fluence Quite happy with this very nice door, at a good price, ordered online with free shipping to our local store. Be sure to read the instructions to avoid cutting one of the tracks too short. A hack saw will do the job, then used a belt sander to trim track to the proper fit. The most time consuming was drilling holes into porcelain tile, (Use 3/16 Bosch blue carbide & Milwaukee Diamond + bits with hammer drill slow speed, and keep the bits cool. Also found that the screws and the anchors provided would not work, there were studs behind the tile so used 3" Gold Screws to secure to the studs. (I used Silicone caulk on the back of the black plastic cap, to cover the gold screw head). Make sure all necessary joints are caulked according to the instructions. USE 100% Silicone. The coating on the inside of the glass is a plus, just a quick squeegee, it looks nice. April 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good looking doors and feel strong The hardest part of the installation was drilling the holes through the tile. The doors went up quick, and feel like very good quality. April 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Installation was not that bad They actually took some time to give us the customer detailed installation instructions which I would rate 5 stars. I was not in a mood to install the shower door but knew it needed to be done and the ease of installation changed my mood and it ended up being more of a fun project than a dreaded project. I love the finished project and am super happy with this purchase. Has very cushioned bumpers for the glass door which is very much appreciated. June 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly Pleased Looks great, fairly easy to install for a DIY'er, well made. Happy with purchase. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, easy install, very reasonable price Very nice quality doors - perfect fit for our shower, and at a very reasonable price compared to others we have looked at. Installation was very straight-forward, and the directions are very clear. A bit time-consuming, but not difficult. Will definitely help to have a second person around to help at a couple of key points in the install. August 5, 2014
