I have removed and cleaned the spray head but the water only trickles out of the hose with the spray head off. Does the cartridge control the water diverted to the spray head? Do I need to replace it?

Hello, my name is Justine with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your faucet question.
To clean your plugged sprayer you can soak it in a mixture of 50/50 hot water and Vinegar for about a half hour and that will clean out the dirt build up that collects in it.
For additional assistance on this inquiry, please contact our Customer Care Center at 1-800-4KOHLER. Read More

The spout got hard to turn left and right and it then like frozen up. When I turned hard, I heard something snap. Went under counter and I saw the whole unit turned. The edge of the sink would cut the hose by time. So we put a sign to remind ourselves from turning the spout. I am searching for Kohl Customer Service to see if the warranty covers.

These faucets do not have a long service life. I got about 7-years out of my last one. I purchased another because the one I have leaks and I did not have time to shop around for another. Not good quality for the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT PURCHASE! See important detail below ...... I purchased this faucet at Home Depot 5 years ago. It has leaked for at least the past year. I couldn't repair the leak because the handle set screw is frozen in place and I can't get the handle off. Kohler has agreed to replace the entire faucet with a higher grade version. IMPORTANT: Kohler customer service told me the Home Depot version of this faucet is a lower grade product so Home Depot (and the other big box store) can price it lower. Kohler makes the same faucet in commerical grade for other retailers. Stay away from this faucet altogether and definitely stay away from the Home Depot version! ZERO STARS for this terrible product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a bad faucet for the price I have had my Koehler faucet about seven years and about three years ago I called Koehler about the faucet leaking and they sent me new internal parts which fixed it for another couple of years. I just got around to taking the faucet apart yesterday to fix it and this time the rubber o-rings were failing. I went to Ace Hardware ( cause it was closer) and got two new rubber rings for it and it works like new again. I believe the size was 1 5/8" x 3/32". Also if you have hard water like me and there is calcium buildup cause of the water leaking out, just soak those parts in white distiller vinegar and almost all the buildup comes off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed. I am so disappointed in this product. I always thought Kohler was a good brand. After seeing the reviews, I know I didn't just happen to get a dud. I was "lucky" enough to get 4 years out of this faucet, but like many others, it began leaking and once we took it apart to tighten it and/or see what the issue was, the leak got much worse. I never would have expected it to break down so soon, but as I said, I was "lucky" to get 4 years out of it. I'll be replacing it with a different brand, for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE WHOLE STORY ON THIS EXCELLENT PRODUCT I read the other reviews. Don't listen to them. Here is the real story. I bought this faucet at Home Depot 8 years ago. Installed it myself. It was pretty easy once I got myself the right wrench - to reach up under the sink. It worked beautifully but began to leak about six months ago. It slowly grew worse. I diagnosed the problem by watching a few youtube videos about installing single-handle faucets. O-rings need replacement. Went to Home Depot to decide whether to replace the whole faucet or try to fix O-rings. The guy there gave me the straight skinny. First of all, he said in terms of overall quality this one is the best faucet in the whole house. Solid brass that is heavily chromed. He pointed out that this faucet is significantly heavier than any of the others in Home Depot. Why? Because the others are not made with such good material. (My faucet after 8 years looks just as good as the day I installed it - except for the hard water deposits on it. Hard water is what ruins all O-rings in single handle faucets.) But, he said, there was a serious flaw. The O-rings used by Kohler for several years deteriorated usually in a year or two and have to be replaced. The product got many complaints. He was amazed that I had mine for 8 years. His assessment is that when I got mine, the O-rings Kohler was using were higher quality. Kohler switched to faulty ones sometime later - but here is the major point of my story: KOHLER HAS RECOGNIZED THE PROBLEM. He said the O-rings in the product today are excellent and don't deteriorate. His advice was don't replace, just fix the faucet. Call 1-800-4KOHLER and tell them you want O-rings for the Forte faucet. They will send you a kit with O-rings free of charge. He was right. It was a five-minute phone call, and the kit worked great. One word of caution on repairs. There is a nut you must unscrew with an allen wrench beneath the hole in the back of the handle. (Remove the oval chrome plug in this hole with a small screw driver.) Before trying to unscrew this nut, put some WD40 or some penetrating oil on it and let it sit for ten minutes before you try to un-screw it. (Another hint from the guy at Home Depot.) Repair took less than half-hour. Want the best faucet for you sink in all of Home Depot? Get this one. Others cost more - but they aren't as good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's cheap for a reason. Leaking after a year. Loved the faucet for a year. Worked flawlessly, no leaks, even the plastic sprayer worked fine. Then the leak began at 12 months with a small dribble, hardly a problem. Now after 18 months it is leaking terribly, water running all over the place and could ruin the tile by causing mold to form (it's happened before). What's up with Kohler? Used to be up with the best in the world, but this is a substandard product for even the lowliest competitor. Not Home Depot's fault. This is simply a faulty faucet. Do NOT buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't even think about buying this worked 2 days. started leaking from top. they will send a new cartridge. no instructions. water dripping from sprayer. they will send a new one. spending lots of time under sink. oops, not brushed chrome. they will send a new one, use this one until you get it. under sink. sprayer still dripping after each use. under sink. newest sprayer dripping. called again, they will send diverter arrived week late. under sink. sprayer still dripping, AND water pressure/force of spray seems much less, probably defective diverter? called again, closed weekends. this is a minute/small bit of my pages of log and I am still researching online. search kohler dripping sprayer, etc. plenty of hits.
