I have a two piece kitchen faucet with a lever to turn it off/on and right/left for temperature.
There is a separate rinse hose about 8 inches away from the main faucet.

I have no idea how to select the right one for my kitchen. What do I need to measure?
I would be very appreciative if you could specifically tell me what to look for at the store.

My current faucet is wiggling around and no long puts out hot water... Help!

I have a height limitation for my faucet. There is a window directly above the sink. I am limited to less than 8inches height for my faucet assembly. Would like a faucet with spray pull out feature if possible.

Thank you for your inquiry. Since this Forte Faucet is over 8" high, we would recommend the KOHLER Fairfax Single-Hole 1-Handle Low-Arc Kitchen Faucet in Vibrant Brushed Bronze. The Fairfax, model K-12175-BV, has a height of less than 8". Please see the link to the product page below.

It has the sleek look that I wanted however, it has a lot of issues for a product that is less than a month old. The handle does not turn left for the hot water to come on. It starts out in the hot position with the handle facing forward which is awkward. Usually, most faucets start in a neutral position, right over the spout, then turn left for hot and right for cold. This faucet starts out over the spout in hot and does not turn to the left. This means that the pipe is always hot to the touch. I called Kohler and they offered to send me a part which did not fix the problem. They even talked the contractor through the process with this new part and it didn't work. They now have offered to send me a new faucet. This means that I have to get someone to put it in. The contractor is annoyed since it was not his fault. The faucet also, at will, shoots out water. It sounds like it's coughing up water. It doesn't happen all the time, it happens periodically. I would not recommend purchasing this product. It is lovely but all that glitters is not gold.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Now out another $330 for plumbing fees!! Had this installed 11/19/10, new kitchen re-model. Loved the look and it was great. Started having leaking issues out the top, 4/19/11. Kohler sent replacement o-rings and lubricant. Plumber came out$165 to take it apart and replace. less then 2 weeks later, the whole rotating bottom wouldn't move and the faucet became loose form the granite. Plumber out $165, can't fix it, the lube is gummed up and the o-rings have snapped!! Now out $330 and have to buy new faucet and replace!!REALLY JUNK!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not purchase Purchase this faucet about 3 years ago. About 18 months later the faucet developed a leak just below the handle. Suspected the o-rings were going bad. Kohler sent out a set of new o-rings which I installed. Approximately 6 months later the faucet leaked in the same location as before. Kohler then sent out a new faucet and I had a certified plumber install it. 12 months later the faucet leaks in the same exact location. The leak appears to be easy to fix however a faucet should not have to be repaired every year. Do not purchase this faucet!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leak Repair Info Altho this faucet works well for awhile, it does tend to leak. Repair is pretty easy, however. Remove the little plug out of the back of the handle with a small knife tip, it just fits in with a push fit. Then loosen the set screw with an allen wrench. Then pull off the handle and there is a top that is screwed on. It should come off fairly easily with adjustable pliers. Best to wrap first with electrical tape to help avoid damaging the surface. Might come off OK with a strap wrench as well, if you have one available. Then pull up and off the handle. There are two O-Rings that do most of the leaking action. They are 1 3/4 by 1 9/16 X 3/32 in size. Most hardware stores should carry such O-rings. Lube the new ones with silicone plumbing lube, also available in most hardware stores. Be sure to clean out the inside of the faucet neck, using fine sandpaper of 600 grit or higher if you have it, or just use a scrub pad like a Brillo pad. Then reinstall and you should be good for another 3 years or so of normal use w/o leaks. Use Vitron O-Rings if you can find them, as they should last longer but will involve more resistance to moving the faucet around. The O-Rings I got cost 50 cents each at Orchard Supply Hardware in Fresno, CA. -- Ron

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks After 2 years Others also notice the leakage issue. I suspect Kohler uses conventional 0-rings and other nitrile seals which tend not to hold up so well with regular use. Other types of 0-rings and seals are more durable but finding just the right sizes in something like Vitron may prove difficult. I don't understand people saying they replaced this faucet due to leaking, as why not just install new seals? Are such seal kits not available? Another faucet I have had for 30 years requires new O-rings about every 4 years but it is easy to work on. Not sure about this unit yet as I have not taken it apart yet. For something that wears out so quickly it should be easy to work on, but will see. If it is leaking O-rings these can be purchased individually at large hardware stores. Or, this unit could be designed to wear out where it can't be fixed, not sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but 2 plumbers wouldn't install it. Third one did and I have a plumber for life! I bought this faucet to go with new custom concrete counters. The first plumber said it wouldn't work because the mounting connection was to short. The second plumber also said it wouldn't work for the same reason, but he would only charge me $1,400 to re-do the plumbing under my sink and install a different faucet. My counter guy and I went to the hardware store and bought an extender for the mounting bolt and the nut to put them together for about $3. Plumber number 3 came out the next day, re-worked the plumbing under the sink, extended the water lines (they are short on this faucet), hooked up my new disposal, and installed a regulator on my new gas cook top for $314. Moral of this story is that this faucet will work on thick (2 1/4") counter tops, you just have to find a plumber who is willing to think outside of the box. And, the faucet looks wonderful! Love the color and ease of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful This faucet is beautiful - great styling. I got it in the stainless steel finish, and it looks great with the dark granite countertops, stainless sink and appliances, and brushed nickel hardware in my kitchen. The swivel of the faucet and handle feel good - easy to move, but not too loose. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that it didn't come with an aerating screen to attach to the end of the faucet. Really - how hard would it be to include that with the faucet?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice design, has held up pretty well We have a big family, so we use our kitchen a lot. This faucet and sprayer are easy to use, have a nice-looking design and have held up pretty well, considering how much use they get. After about a year and a half of near-constant use, we had to replace the diverter valve. It's now been two years, and the cartridge will probably need to be replaced soon. I would double or triple those numbers for most folks.
