does it come w/3-hole mounting plate as option?

Kohler forte kitchen faucet in vibrant brushed nickel K-10416-BN store SKU # 317-675 internet # 100064025

This faucet will mount onto a 3-hole sink- the left hole on the sink is not used, the supply lines feed through the center, and the sprayer feeds through the right hole.

Kitchen faucet

I have a height limitation for my faucet. There is a window directly above the sink. I am limited to less than 8inches height for my faucet assembly. Would like a faucet with spray pull out feature if possible.
Asked by: Anonymous
The sprayer is on the side. The handle extends almost 10" above my counter top.

Is the side spray on the kohler forte single handle kitchen faucet optional?

I am installing this faucet and do not want to put in the side spray. I was under the impression it was optional. What do I do when installing if I am not going to use the side spray?

Hello my name is Ana. I am with Kohler customer service. Yes the Forte kitchen faucet is available without a side sprayer. You would be able to order the Forte kitchen faucet as K-10411-* with a 3 hole escutcheon or as K-10415-* without a 3 hole escutcheon.

It started leaking from the body about a month ago. Called Kohler and they sent a new valve and a seal kit. Video looked easy enough but it was a challenge removing the body. I finally got the body off but ended up breaking the cold hose. Once I got all the hard water buildup removed the body went back together with ease. Replacing with the same unit tomorrow because my mother-in-law still likes the look and has had good luck with it. She does not want to wait to figure out if we can replace the hose.

Replaced one of those pull out style faucets that depend on a weight on the hose for it to retract. In our case the weight couldn't fall all the way back because of plumbing pipes in the way. This unit is far better and the water flow is far greater. We live on 10 acres with about 65 inches of rain per year and a well that puts out 16 GPM--we don't need one of those faucets with a flow restriction and this faucet really puts out the water. We love it. Looks good, too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Now out another $330 for plumbing fees!! Had this installed 11/19/10, new kitchen re-model. Loved the look and it was great. Started having leaking issues out the top, 4/19/11. Kohler sent replacement o-rings and lubricant. Plumber came out$165 to take it apart and replace. less then 2 weeks later, the whole rotating bottom wouldn't move and the faucet became loose form the granite. Plumber out $165, can't fix it, the lube is gummed up and the o-rings have snapped!! Now out $330 and have to buy new faucet and replace!!REALLY JUNK!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leak Repair Info Altho this faucet works well for awhile, it does tend to leak. Repair is pretty easy, however. Remove the little plug out of the back of the handle with a small knife tip, it just fits in with a push fit. Then loosen the set screw with an allen wrench. Then pull off the handle and there is a top that is screwed on. It should come off fairly easily with adjustable pliers. Best to wrap first with electrical tape to help avoid damaging the surface. Might come off OK with a strap wrench as well, if you have one available. Then pull up and off the handle. There are two O-Rings that do most of the leaking action. They are 1 3/4 by 1 9/16 X 3/32 in size. Most hardware stores should carry such O-rings. Lube the new ones with silicone plumbing lube, also available in most hardware stores. Be sure to clean out the inside of the faucet neck, using fine sandpaper of 600 grit or higher if you have it, or just use a scrub pad like a Brillo pad. Then reinstall and you should be good for another 3 years or so of normal use w/o leaks. Use Vitron O-Rings if you can find them, as they should last longer but will involve more resistance to moving the faucet around. The O-Rings I got cost 50 cents each at Orchard Supply Hardware in Fresno, CA. -- Ron

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not purchase Purchase this faucet about 3 years ago. About 18 months later the faucet developed a leak just below the handle. Suspected the o-rings were going bad. Kohler sent out a set of new o-rings which I installed. Approximately 6 months later the faucet leaked in the same location as before. Kohler then sent out a new faucet and I had a certified plumber install it. 12 months later the faucet leaks in the same exact location. The leak appears to be easy to fix however a faucet should not have to be repaired every year. Do not purchase this faucet!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks After 2 years Others also notice the leakage issue. I suspect Kohler uses conventional 0-rings and other nitrile seals which tend not to hold up so well with regular use. Other types of 0-rings and seals are more durable but finding just the right sizes in something like Vitron may prove difficult. I don't understand people saying they replaced this faucet due to leaking, as why not just install new seals? Are such seal kits not available? Another faucet I have had for 30 years requires new O-rings about every 4 years but it is easy to work on. Not sure about this unit yet as I have not taken it apart yet. For something that wears out so quickly it should be easy to work on, but will see. If it is leaking O-rings these can be purchased individually at large hardware stores. Or, this unit could be designed to wear out where it can't be fixed, not sure.
