The seat cover closed is just not sleek looking. Instead of the lid covering the whole seat it just covers the kid seat so its basically like layers. I feel like you need to see it in person as the pictures look much better then in reality. Also does not have the capability for taking the kid seat off so once outgrown you will have to replace this expensive seat again. For such an expensive seat you would think it would be nicer and have this option as the less expensive models do. Also the seat is higher in the front and you kinda sink back. On a comfort height toilet this makes it feel like i have to go to tippy toes to get comfortable. I am 5' 11'' so might not be an issue with someone taller. The seat is not worth the money, you can get a better one for 40% less.

The seat was a breeze to install. The top lid doesn't go down slowly, but since the adults will have to lift up lid and upper toddler seat that's not a problem in the end. I had to return another toilet seat that I purchased in the store that's made out of wood, because the hardware in that one didn't match my Kohler toilet. I'm mentioning this bcs that other toilet seat is really the only choice with a toddler seat built in, that they offer in the store.
Go for it, who needs those foamy annoying toddler seats that look awful in a bathroom.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beck Great Concept, Problematic Quick Release
I have a toddler and was very excited when I learned about this product. I quickly ordered it and installed it myself (female) upon receiving the order. It was relatively easy, however the seat did not fit tightly to the base of the toilet. In spite of the screws being tightly in place, in the base of the toilet. The "Quick release" claws never securely grasped/ attached to the plastic "knobs?" (not sure what they are called) that were screwed into the base. It was as if the "quick release" claws had been "stretched too far" and lost their "elasticity". The toilet seat slid, from side to side, so the Grip-Tight Bumpers did not work. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I returned the product the very next day, and contacted Kohler to find out if all the Transitions Toilet Seats were the "quick release" type, and Yes they are. I was hoping Not, as it is a great concept for Toilet Training without the additional Potty in the bathroom. I really wanted this product to work as described.... and was told that the product in my possession may have been defective. So I took the plunge and ordered another one (fingers crossed), primarily because I have a Kohler Toilet, and all of their Toilet seats; Transitional or otherwise are "Quick Release"......to be continued.

This was by far a better quality product than the other potty training seat I bought from a brand called Church. The potty lid stays put, doesn't jiggle around or come off, like the other product. It installed quickly and has been easy to keep clean. I'm buying a second one for another bathroom upstairs that my son will be using.

This seat has multiple problems. #1 The kids seat has about 1/8 inch gap between it and the adult seat, so when a child sits on the seat and shifts their weight the kids seats pinches their leg skin between the two seats. My kids have both been pinched so much they refuse to sit on it. Major designs flaw. #2 I bought it because i wanted a soft close seat for my kids. well the kid seat lid is not soft close. So the whole purpose of the soft close adult seat is nullified because its in the kids bath. #3 When you put all three seats up they more often then not fall back down while you are using the toilet because the design doesn't allow it to tip far enough in the up direction this can be a messy problem

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jess Great seat for the kiddos
Works great for those littler tushies and a perfect match (size & color) for my elongated Kohler toilet. An easy swap. No more cleaning up and removing those silly potty seats! Yay! Slightly misleading advertising - I expected all of it to be "quiet close." Unfortunately, the very top lid is not quiet close on it's own. The regular sized seat and the kids seat are quiet close.
Funny thing, I ordered 1 (toilet seat)...but was sent an entire box, which included 6 seats. Ummmm.....guess I have to take my time and schlep the remaining 5 back to HD...hope they give me something for my trouble and honesty...

When I first bought this product last year I didn't understand why some reviews indicated it was difficult to clean. This past week a stomach bug went through my family and now I get it. Because of the large hinge and quiet close mechanism big toilet messes require disassembling the seat and cleaning several small crevices. This wasn't impossible to do, just a little gross. It took about 10 minutes, 10 Clorox wipes, a screwdriver and some determination. Overall, this is a great toilet seat for anyone with little kids, just be advised that you'll have to perform surgery on it every once in a while.
