Thank you for your inquiry. If you were standing in front of this Hampton K-2705-0, the specification "depth" would be side-to-side (or left-to-right) and the "width" would be front-to-back (or how far out it extends into the room).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent replacement for an existing wall mount fixture Our home was built in the early 1950's. We wanted to put in a pedastal sink but that would have required moving the drain. We opted for this as it was same basic demensions of our original sink. Our sink was original to the house and was a Kholer cast iron also.It had rust stains in the porcelin which is why we replaced it (not bad for something 50+ years old). The original bracket was almost exactly like the new one and the holes lined up perfectly. This new sink is heavy and quality just like the old one and went well with our 1950's bathroom which we will eventually update but this sink gave it a fresh look. Its a bit pricey but we chose to go with the cast iron because of durability. Also cast iron holds heat so if you fill the sink with hot water for shaving, it stays hot longer. This looks nice with the older 50's design of our blue ceramic tiled bathroom and does not look out of place. October 9, 2012
